more than / half our fouls were by Nahki … 5 or 6 times gives the opposition time to regroup! but well done CITY 4 ON THE BOUNCE against lower placed clubs now the going gets tougher …!
Times up LJ.....................According to the doubters and haters.........Don't you just love it!!!
skating on thin ice … think we should get rid and get in Klopp … as he is giving the Lpool fans boring football every week … just keeps winning, no fun in that !!!! he ought to lose some more …
I didn't realize that Fammy could head the ball. A stunning goal worthy of the 3 points and we move on.
He certainly can head it, although mostly defensive headers, he must win more defensive headers from corners than the rest of the defence combined. Cracking goal though. For me is player of the season.
This is the defensive header from Famara not shown on the highlights https://streamvi.com/watch.php?video=1580576041
City must be doing well as my mate Redprintt is nowhere to be seen! It will still end in tears, although been waiting four years so far!!
Wells ‘over the moon’ on ‘emotional’ debut Saturday, February 1st 2020 New City striker Nahki Wells came off the bench to help the Robins grind out their hard-fought 1-0 win away to his former club QPR. Wells was on loan with Rangers over two spells between August 2018 and last month, before he made the permanent switch from his parent club Burnley to Bristol City. Just 48 hours after the deal was completed, and as fate would have it, his first game as a Robin came against QPR in West London. There, Famara Diédhiou’s first-half header and some gutsy defending helped City record a fourth consecutive victory in the Sky Bet Championship as they stay within the play-off pack. Wells was well received by supporters from the moment he stepped off the team coach at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, and his name was sung when he came off the bench just after the hour-mark. “It was a great debut to come on and get a win against a former side," Wells said. “I’m over the moon and the most important thing is the three points and we got them today. “It was great to come on and get a good reception from QPR and equally I had a huge reaction from the City fans which was great, so it was a weird feeling. “The emotion was running through me today but my focus was to do the best I can for Bristol City and I believe I did that.” His strike partner Diédhiou was at the heart of City’s attacks, while Wells saw a header off target as the Robins went in search of extending their lead. But the game shared similarities to the 1-0 win over Reading just four days earlier, with City defending superbly to keep QPR out as they swarmed with a great deal of late pressure. Wells continued: “It’s not an easy place. They do get on top of you and their attacking elements are relentless, but we showed that endeavour, to get back-to-back clean sheets. “We defended well and could have pinched a second and probably deserved a second but equally they put a lot of pressure on us. It was difficult for us which we expected but we dug deep and kept the clean sheet and the win.” Wells now has the prospect of a home debut under the Ashton Gate lights on Friday, with Birmingham City heading to BS3. And it’s an occasion the Bermuda international can’t wait for. He said: “It’s a huge away win and we’re at home on Friday in front of our own fans; a huge lift behind us as we go and try to move in the right direction and push for those automatic promotion spots. “I’ll be right up for it. I’ve been in the doors for less than 48 hours, having to get used to a new regime, players, new systems and how the manager works and everything! Today was off the cuff, just doing the best I can and that’s all I could go off. Building up to Friday will be great preparation for my home debut and hopefully I can get it.” https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/wells-over-the-moon-on-emotional-debut/
