They’re still a different class to us & most teams in this league, they’ve been on the verge of promotion for years with their ability to bring in cheap players & sell for a lot more.
I think the hat trick player today cost £6 million, a club record & if they sell him, he’ll go for more than Bowen.
I think our current signings this season are probably better than we’ve signed for a few years, but we don’t have anywhere near good enough scouts as Brentford. That’s what we need to get signed up.

 

Easy, they are hardly Man City. They are the standard you need to be near to get in the playoffs. Today showed us how far away we are from that, I just hope the terry doesn’t come out and tell us otherwise

Difference is Brentford pay 6 million and double or treble it, we at the moment won’t pay 600k. They have just bought a couple from Oxford for 4 million. What the hell did we buy, maybe spent 2 million all in told on 4-5 players. Major cost cutting, and the club will go down because of it.

 

Ok, maybe it was Mbuemo, but I recall last season £6 million being touted for one of their signings & I said at the time, he must be a great player for them to splash that amount on him!

5-1 flattering score line , for us . We’ve seen Grosicki and Bowen carrying us for 3 Years and knew we had little quality elsewhere , some just like to keep positive and convince themselves Barnsley rejects and the likes of Eaves / Magennis just need time and will soon takeover . Truth is we have a squad now of very average players , just without the gold dust . You can’t polish a turd they say, well them 2 lads did put a coat or 2 of polish on for a bit .
