    We have officially left eh!

So the EU has no influence over us. We do not have to abide by its laws and practices?

Surely not now we have left, officially!

Went to Tesco this morning, the lady on the check out told me yesterday that a bloke came in and went crazy that they didn’t have Union Jack flags up celebrating Independence Day.

    So let's get this straight!

We, the UK have officially left the EU as of 2300 last night.

But for the next 11 months we are still influenced by their laws and have to abide by the practices!

Laws and practices that we have now got no say in!

So thats 11 months where the EU can bring in any law it sees fit that affects us as well.

They also have control of our fishing waters and agriculture. They have the power to set quotas that we must adhere to!

And we now have 11 months to thrash out a deal with the EU before we really leave for good in December. That's 11 months of negotiations by the same people who negotiated our disastrous transition deal!

Brexit eh! Marvellous so it is.

Some prankster within the upper echelons of the EU has probably got a surprise new rule lined up for us. I know that's what I'd do, just for giggles.

Check out the brass neck on these EU cùnts. They are the same fùckers who backed up the No claims that for Scotland to stay in the EU the would have to be part of the UK in the run up to the 2014 Indy ref. They were complicit in the establishment lies.

Give us back our fishing waters you two faced ****s.

They can't not join the Eurozone.

It's an integral part of the United Europe they want, they want an ever closer union. I'm not even slagging off the EU, I am sure they think it's a positive.

But being a member of the Eurozone is a key part of integration. The Danes and Swedes are feeling mounting pressure to join.

I'm staggered that any nation would willingly join it, if the Italian economy buckles, which is just a time bomb the Eurozone is going to have it's third largest economy in ruins. A United currency spanning 23 members is a disaster, one day they hope for it to be 27.

So we’ve finally left the EU. The first step in reality as there’s still at least 11 months of negotiation on what our future relationship with the EU will be. We will now most likely start to see the proper start to negotiations with other countries including the US as we are now able to officially negotiate deals outside the EU.

In terms of daily life there will be no change yet. But maybe we will start to see the country come together in deciding what future we want for the country. Or at least it’s a slightly different argument to be had!

I can’t see this making any difference for Scotland, I think that’s wishful thinking from Scots who want independence and something for remainers to use to bash brexit. Does anyone really think the tories will give them a referendum? I can’t see it.

If they decide to have a referendum that isn’t legally binding it’ll have no effect (despite some wanting to point out the EU referendum was advisory, the key difference is every political party said they’d respect and act on the result, which wouldn’t be the case if the Scots had one without Westminster approval). And they’ve already said they won’t go down this route.

Even ignoring that it’s highly unlikely they will get a referendum, if they did have one there’s no guarantee they’d vote to leave. Last time round the SNP had more votes and more seats and still comfortably lost. The EU argument wouldn’t win it this time as Scotland wouldn’t be able to join the EU as an independent country on terms they’d be happy with, if at all. Not to mention the financial argument is even weaker now than previously given the volatility of the oil market since the last Indyref.

I can’t see Scotland getting independence any time soon. Nothing much will change for the UK for 11 months. It’s a period for building the foundations for the future of our country and hopefully everyone starts to focus on that!

Well they could I suppose. Not my preferred option though. I'd rather we struck our own deal with them. We hold a very good hand as it happens.

The thing is though, in an independent Scotland it will be the people of Scotland who decide. Not a *****fied neighbours electorate who wish to leave the EU to stop muslamic terrorists invading their country
