I think clownshoe is an undervalued word and should be used more in this day and age. I believe Ehab has been labelled a clownshoe many times by posters on here.
Sonko wasn't much better granted and Brown should never have given Cooper his debut alongside him away to Liverpool. But he did and our back four were all over the place. They could have scored ten in the first half alone. I don't get this love affair with Cooper. I wanted him to do well being a local lad etc but he wasn't up to it when we had him. Wish him no harm at all but I don't have him down as one who got away, similar to Clark in my eyes.
That piece was def penned by a clever author, witty and informative. It reads like he'll be divisive in the extreme - he can **** right off with that blatant diving ****, as quick as he likes!
For the first 3 goals he got strung up like a skipper and played one on side. That was the Sonko show. I remember Cooper being impressive.
I liked Cooper as a player and wanted him to do well but at that time he wasn't good enough. If he was coming through the ranks now though I think he'd be very good for us at this level. I think it's very hard for a young player to come into a Premier League team. I think even Bowen would have struggled with that.
MLS is like the women’s league. Surprising they still use full sized goals. It’s a **** standard and my mother could have scored 22 goals. Fair play, he’s getting paid for playing football, but fook knows why. Lest we forget Altidore is also still getting paid for wearing boots, so still hope for us all really. I do credit Diomande for one thing, the utter audacity in claiming the goal at QPR
Just a little heads up, the MLS transfer window is still open. In McCann's post match interview on Humberside this afternoon, he states Grosicki and Bowen were sold because Allams couldn't agree new contract terms with them and they didn't want to lose the transfer fees. Now De Wijs is attracting interest from MLS teams and could still sign for them as the window is open. If De Wijs doesn't sign a new contract then I can see him being sold to the MLS to prevent a loss of £3-5m transfer fee.
