I have to pop over to my mums to do a small job. If, by any chance, those Brexit unicorns have done it for me, I might start to believe! I’ll let you know later
Update... Job was still there to be done, so Brexit unicorns don’t exist. Therefore it’s still **** as far as I’m concerned!
He also said... "I was determined that no British government should be brought down by the action of two tarts."
His greatest soundbite "You've never had it so good". A consummate politician was Supermac. His party political broadcast which delivered a Tory landslide in 1959 was the work of a genius. His own script too.
As did quite a few. Lord Boothby shagged everything from McMillan's wife to Ronnie Kray. Leo Abse, Tom Driberg were others.
I can't follow up tales of politicians shagging with anything quite so exciting, but I noticed several EU flags hanging somewhat forlornly from foot bridges over major roads around where I live. Didn't mind too much, seeing as they are now just harmless decorations. I guess the Parliament Square pro-EU protesters don't have much of a use for them anymore.
I was thinking of the fact that the government tried to restrict the briefings to the favoured few, like donald does with Fox news.
Yes, I know … as I said... if the BBC doesn't like it then they know what to do!... ie, make more newsreaders redundant.
Laura was one of the favoured. So you agree with government policy. What about the journalists' united rejection of it?
The Government tried to give a briefing to the media and they refused to attend... not the Government's problem... but as I fund the BBC, I will want a refund for their refusal to cover a news event!
They tried to give a briefing to selected journos, as you know. Other more critical branches of the media were to be excluded. Boris refusing to be interviewed by Andrew Neil, the Tory ministers refusing to appear on Today, you are happy with all this?
The problem is that the BBC has no credibility as an objective broadcaster. It is just another arm of the liberal establishment that tried to stop Brexit any way it could. Another part of the national Anti-Conservative alliance. Why should this Government want to have anything to do with it? In these days when channels can be encrypted, the licence fee should become optional, like other TV subscriptions. If I don't want to watch Sky or Netflix, I just don't pay them any money. The BBC should be no different.
