Yep - it’s a model that we could copy. It does mean that the EU would set the tariffs on any goods coming into the U.K. that are covered by the customs union. So it would break the promise made that we could negotiate our own trade agreements. To be clear: a successful outcome is absolutely possible. But fulfilling all the promises made isn’t. So I’m looking forward to seeing what compromises are made now we have someone in charge who made the promises in the first place.
So 20 minutes to go and at 11pm we will realise that **** all has happened except for yet more broken promises. Life will continue exactly the same, just as **** as before.
