"I don't see why there have to be games on Sundays," said Murray. "I hope things will change in future."

Personally I would rather this scumbag dies as I do anyone who values religion above anything more important, like everything.

...but does anyone think he has a point? Should religion come before sport or should sport come before religion.

My view is sport for the professionals is a job and if the guy wants to keep his job he should either deal with working Sundays or quit so he can go and listen to some stories every Sunday morning.

Anyone else here religious? Does it control your life? Would you refuse to work Sundays or the equivalent day for other faiths or is this idiot making a fool out of himself and letting his team mates down?

You should clear off if you have that sort of view on religion, complete and utter lack of respect. For some people it is hugely important, and I respect him hugely for being so bold that he would miss a world cup game because of his faith. And don't give me that nonsense about it being his profession, any clubs that sign him or when the country call him up, they know that he will not play on Sunday's, it is their decision to still pick him.

I have no religious belief, and am happy to know that humans have, over time, proven it to be complete nonsense. But to wish death on somebody because of their beliefs? Nope, I wouldn't do that, no matter what they believed.

Its ok for him to do what he wants, he doesn't have to play on Sunday if he doesn't want too, but why is he trying to force his views on others, and trying to force EVERYONE to do as he says just because of his beliefs?

I don't believe in religion, but I don't try to force religious people to stop believing just because I don't agree with them.

    What the ****?

Respect fo letting his team mates down?

Respect for putting faith ahead of his job, the thing that allows him to live. He can pray to god anytime. Gods everywhere at all times as they claim. If thats true ( its not ) then it doesnt matter if you go church, pray on sundays or whatever does it.

Respect for him wanting the rules and laws of the game changed to suit him?

I am really struggling to see how he warrants respect. All I see is a selfish **** who wants it all. If he is so devout he will give up his job and serve the lord. SIMPLE.

I didnt wish death on him. I said I would rather he died than his religious views were deemed more important than sport. A completely different thing.

    Religion is nonsense.

All I will say to Murray is this, keep this up. But don't start crying about it if the team decide they don't need you at all.

I'm going to hazard a guess that you've never been 100% commited to anything in your miserable life?

Better off having him than Carroll mind <ok>

Beard looks slightly less dirty and he doesn't appear at first glance to be an alcoholic wife beater.

Seems you said that you'd rather him die if he considers religion more important than anything, which clearly he does - so therefore you want him to die. Bit harsh really, even if he is a deluded fool.
