No - this is the argument that Remainers completely failed to make. British democracy is representative. Not direct. We don't do referendums (hence why the original one was legally non-binding), and with good reason. This is intended to protect us from people who make promises to get an outcome they personally will benefit from but have no intention of delivering on. I believe in British democracy - where a majority of elected representatives have to come together to decide what to do. It's not perfect, and often comes up with outcomes I disagree with (e.g. the last election). But at least someone is responsible for delivering on their promises - and I'll get a chance to boot them out if they don't. So I'll accept the result.
I wont argue with Remainers anymore, i won't be dragged into Brexit debates. It's done, we have left. It's not the deal brexiteers would have wanted, it's nothing at all what remainers wanted. But for me, time to move on and make the UK a competitive and vibrant nation with some ****ing optimism.

What about the plane load of repatriated nationals they are sticking in the NHS staff accommodation at Arrowe Park on the Wirral? Incidentally, don't swallow the line that it was former accommodation - it was in use and, although it wasn't full, there were staff evicted so it could be used as a quarantine block!

We don't even know how lethal it is yet. Hasn't this virus so far only killed already sick people and old people? It's just a flu, which already kill people. Also in a country of 1 billion you are talking just over a few hundred dead. It's the classic hysteria that we are all used too.
i honestly dont understand why they dont just shoot all the infected or potentially infected and burn all the bodies ... we do it to cattle etc and its very effective..
whatever is cheaper... i cannot understand why we allowed any flights into the country from china ... sorry , but youve eaten your last live octopus and slipping back into our society like nothing happened pal.. your luck ran out.... why should we all pay the price for their desire to live?
I haven't changed my mind. I still think it's a mistake. It is what it is though and we just need to get it over and done with and move on. For me, nobody on either side has come out of this with any credit and the whole process has brought the worst out of people on all sides. Time to move on and try and remember how to debate with each other and still get on.
That won't help or change anything though. If we want the best for everyone then every remainer has to spend the next few years trying to prove THEMSELVES wrong!
We are moving on, we are learning to debate and still get on. So will you shut your remaining face up and stop whining???
