Can you get banned from St James Park for swearing?

  1. I am not a racist, sexist or a homophobe, although i am guilty of having slightly intolerant views from time to time, i never let it come into the ground. However, sometimes i'm very emotional about the sport, and "for ****s sake man" or "****ing come on toon" or "**** off referee you fat ****", come out in my language.

There is a family infront of me, a father, mother and a teenage daughter. At the Arsenal game, i told Wilshere to **** off, and called him a ****ing little ****, and the father turned around saying "that's the fourth time you've used that word infront of my wife and my daughter, stop it now". And this is the 3rd time since i've been a season ticket holder in that area, where they have snapped at me, and it's really pissing me off. The teenage lass spends half the time texting on her phone for gods sake. This a toon match, and if they don't like swearing, what would they be like if thy sat in the leazes corner near the away fans?

Me and my dad sit in the gallowgate end, around the middle. We have a good view, but i really can't stand the people infront of me. I have a feeling they are going to report me and have me banned...

Should i move? I'm thinking of moving to one of the side stands. Also, can i get my season ticket renewed if i am planning to move seats?

I've not got a problem with swearing but it would annoy me that every time I'm at a game all I can hear is some foul mouthed 'youth' shouting and swearing over nothing.

I admit the odd 'Oh ****inggg hell' when we miss or they score is fine. But just shouting abuse at another teams player seems a bit pointless?

You can change seats and from what you're saying I think you'd be better off in L7 with the noisy boys.

  4. It's not all the time mate, and there's plenty of people around me that do it aswell, he just knows that because i'm young he can tell me off, but if he tried to do it to the two massive 6ft 3 blokes that swear infront of him, he'd just get told to go **** himself.

And btw im 19, i' hardly a child.

I think you should get some common decency. If some bloke has asked you to stop using 'that word' (im guessing '****') then stop. Its commonly accepted as being the worst of the '4 letter words'.

BTW RIP, i think its fine if your shouting '****ing come on man!' and such, but the 'C' word is generally taboo for alot of people. Anything else and i dont think he has a right to complain.

Like others have said, get up to Level 7 and you'll more than likely be fine.

Wein is right. If I was sat in front of you with my wife and 2 children, and you repeatedly used that word I would ask you to stop. Everyone expects to hear some swearing at a football match, but if there are women and children right next to you, you should use some common sense.

  11. I don't use the word c**t or c**k, but **** just comes out naturally. He even complained when i sung the "time to go, time to go, time to go, time goooooo, **** OFF", song...

    srsly.

Maybe you've just got an irritating voice that he finds grating?

  13. Not really, i have some good banter with alot of the people around me, it's just him and his wife that find it annoying. And besides the girl is around 16/17, harldy a little kid. If it was a baby, i wouldn't swear, but she's near my age anyway. I could tell her to stop pissing about texting her mates when she's supposed to be watching the match, but i don't butt in.

Using that word is an arrestable offence, if he reports you, the steward should have a word with you first, but if you persist then the steward has the right to eject you or call the police in extreme cases
for which you will be arrested and proberbly fined, thus leading to being banned

even possible to be banned nationwide as Northumbria look to get banning orders on any trouble at st. James

unlike the sol where you can get on the pitch and nothing happens (wasn't the fa doing some sort of enquiry again)

i was reprimanded by a steward once for singing "**** off Freddie Shepherd" along with the rest off SJP in the family section

i was grassed up by a huge sweaty man that closely resembled Sinbad off Brookside, he was sat right in front of me puffing on an oversized comedy cigar. i told the steward that he was doing more damage to my health with that cigar, than i was swearing along with the rest of the crowd

the steward couldnt grasp this concept, i wasn't surprised
