x, my good man. You are alive, so it doesn't matter when you were born. It was ,for me, brilliant to be there when all this good stuff was created. The fact you are alive allows you to retrospectively listen ( that's technology for you !) to the good (and not so good) creations of the past, and enjoy the influence those historical artists have had on more recent musical creations. The beauty of music is its regeneration/modification potential. Even better stuff comes out of what has gone before. The human desire to create - oft to recreate. In my opinion, the 50's and & 60's changed much. Fifty years from now we may be saying the same about the 2020's to 2030's. Great era nevertheless... my favourite band ever...in the '60s. Buddy Holly in the '50s. So much between & thereafter.
