Yep. We're being out-maneuvered. Again. And we've done it to ourselves. Again. Not replacing Llorente was unforgivable.
I’m not even surprised with Spurs inept transfer policy anymore. It’s not just one or two windows, it’s been like this for years. They never strengthen the area that needs it the most. Even if Kane was fit, the need for competition/back up is there.
I’m getting an error so I can’t treat you to my Tim Sherwood saluting GIF Edit: enjoy the picture instead
Personally I think it’s time for ENIC to back their managers all the way and give them a challenging squad to work with
Jarrod Bowen is being linked to West Ham and Palace, isn’t he the exact sort of player that Spurs should be in for?
Not really, we just signed Bergwijn so wouldn’t see the point in adding Bowen. We need a central striker now, pretty well equipped with wide men.
I think the only thing worse than not signing a half decent striker today would be a situation where we’re linked to a big name I.e a Dybala type, and being faced with another “we tried” scenario on transfer deadline day. If it’s not already been a big enough piss take that Kane’s been injured all month and we’ve not signed a striker, that scenario would be the icing on the cake. And in true Levy fashion, I can see it happening. Again.
I would of rather taken a chance on Bowen than Bergwijn. He has smashed it for to seasons, English and only £16-£20m. If it doesn’t work out you could probably sell and still get the money back.
I suggest we all get on with anything that keeps our mind of transfers and strikers today. Come back tomorrow and accept that the squad will look the same at 1100 tonight as it does now - Nothing to see here.
Bale rumours popping up on Talksport...I know, I know Talkshite blah blah....but really they are quite good actually. Don't see it happening myself for so many reasons
