I don’t think it really matters if we get £16m or £20m, they reinvest next to nothing in team strengthening anyway.

You can't blame the clowns in charge if Bowen goes. He's out of contract and hasn't signed the new deal on offer, meaning we can just extend his current deal and he will leave for **** all.
If a reasonable bid comes in, let him go and wish him good luck, he has earned the right for a crack in the prem.

Depends how you look at it. If its £20m+ we pretty much cut the asking price of the club in half. Makes it much more likely to sell than a £40m+ asking price.

Oh well, at least it’s an interesting end to the window. GLP Jr is a huge fan of Bowen and Grosicki, I’ll have to break the news to him gently that we may have neither come Saturday.:emoticon-0146-punch:emoticon-0146-punch:emoticon-0146-punch

We will have no team without those pair, we would struggle enough without one of the other nevermind both. They are Hull City at the moment.

This situation is nothing new to city fans ,losing good players due to owners mismanagement (especially fans of a certain age will remember) but as Brucey says "will pick ourselves up and dust our ourselves off and go again" looking on the positive side, Hoping that McCann is the start of a new era, at least we're not giving them away as we have done in the past.

If he does go, I would like to see a different formation played, 2 up top would suit our strikers so much more, eaves/magennis and klp/wilks, classic big man quick man partnership

Conducted himself well in public and not made waves, unlike Grozzer.

Like Robbo, he leaves on good terms - no feelings of 'good riddance' or 'greedy bastard' .

Wish him well but not so well that loads of ****ers of some plastic club shriek 'what an absolute steal' as he scores for fun in the PL.

Just been reading the comments from the palace fans, everyone are over the moon, really good positive comments, then the Newcastle fans are absolutely gutted, the only 4 ****ing more million, come on Ashley buy him I like a lot. Everyone believes he is as good if not better than Maddison and will be worth a fortune in a cpl of years in the prem. either team will have to stay there obviously ha ha.... The lad has a lot of admirers... Good luck young man, remember us in you future interviews..

Jarod Bowen deserves to play in the Premier League and benfit from all that it offers--be paid what he is worth, greater exposure and name recognition, a chance to impress Southgate and maybe make the England team and if he does as I expect, plays up to his ability, to get an even more lucrative move to one of the top four clubs just like Harry (well maybe top four from an income point of view) And for us its a win win situation the club get a hefty dose of cash regardless of where it goes and we get to follow and delight in his progress the same way that we have with Harry and Robbo (add Snodgrass to that see he was voted MOTM by some in West Hams last game). Personnally I get great pleasure from watching how Harry does for United and Robertson for Liverpool . I expect I will get the same from Bowen at Crystal Palace or West Ham. Look forward to seeing who his replacement is.

This fella is normally on the ball with all things WHU. I think West Ham would be a poor move.

You wait until you have to explain he’s only been at West Ham a week and he’s already been picked for England!
