I've probably said this before. But I was at a midweek game against Cardiff and Graham Kavanagh of Cardiff was taking the corners and he was getting coins thrown at him, but instead of walking over to the ref and making a meal of it, he picked a few coins up, put them in his sock and gave a thumbs up to the crowd. Classic at the time..
I think it was Mickey Quinn in the 80's. Someone threw a pork pie at him. He picked it up, took a bite and tossed it back in the crowd.
1975 season hit twice by coins no real damage done but could have been bad don’t know where the coins came from
If Poveda or JKA don't get game time (starting) there will be unrest, especially with Poveda, they both didn't come to leeds to play for the U23's or sit on bench. Poveda is 19 and hungry, plus he plays for England U23's which makes him ambitious. JKA wants first team football, he's eager to prove a point in English league, he too will be ambitious and hungry to play. Can't see Bielsa waiting too long if our form don't pick up drastically. Second half v Millwall isn't anything to go by, we got to do it for the next 2 to 4 full matches to see the revival.
Good to hear that no serious injury occured...but obviously that was just down to luck and if one had struck you in the eye for instance then it would have been a whole different story. It annoys me that the club have made no announcement condemming such behaviour and outlining what will happen to the culprits once identified. They had the opportunity to nip this in the bud last season and chose to sit on their hands and do nothing.
If he was bothered or wanted to go, no one could have stopped him, he obviously is a man of his word and once he agreed to come Leeds did so.
