Talking of stats, did anybody else realise that we have lost five in a row at home to Blackburn in the Premier League? I knew they were a bit of a bogey team, but that's taking the mick!

Up until the 1st loss in that 5 game run we had hardly lost to them at all, it was a blip IMO,home win!!!

Was just looking at that on NUFC.com and i was surprised aswell. A home win on Saturday will change that though.

Dsitance covered is a bit of a two edged stat.

Showing a bit of energy is always nice, but if your positioning is correct the first time you don't need to run as much.

I would agree, shows he is making an effort though and not just ball watching, even if his positioning isn't brilliant!!!

Hell of a lot of draws in the earlier Premier League meetings! But I think we should win!

It's probably so high because Pardew gets Taylor and Coloccini to join in attacks often.

Stats are ****ing useless and meant for people like Fat Sam. If I want to know how good a player I do that revolutionary thing, I ****ing watch them! This is the perfect example why you can use stats to back up any argument you please. Steven Taylor has not earnt the right to play in the England squad in my book (he's probably a bit down the pecking order truth be told), yet the Chronicle claim "facts" show why he should be in. We're 6 or 7 games and he's done enough? Not for me.

I'll stop my rant and apologise, I just hate stats and trying to introduce too much science into football. I think Fat Sam turned me against it forever!!

Yeah top one is Cabaye, that must be a glitch - you can make your own though - can look at passing, shots, tackles, blocks interceptions, etc etc - can be quite fun for stats freaks.

totally agree - players can give a lot more to a team than the stats suggest, or a lot less - but that doesn't mean that stats aren't indicative and useful for analysing how the team is performing.

Yeah definately, and you can do it for any game, any player or any team for the last couple of seasons I think.
