Jovanovich,& Voronin were free transfers and brought in as squad players, Aquilani doesn't want to be in England, Bellamy was sold to part fund the purchase of Torres. Konchesky was never a signing with excitement or expectation so that leaves Keane and Cole as 2 players you might claim had a hard time. A lot less than the 7 you stated

    That's actually John Carew's penalty re-entering the Earth's atmosphere. <ok>

I was thinking about the Carroll situation earlier, if nothing else we should stick in a cheeky £8m bid just to take the piss. I'd take him back for a reasonable fee, on modest wages and if he apologised for being a greedy, money-grabbing ****er. He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the no. 9 shirt though.

Purely hypothetical of course, it will never come off.

I really can't see Kenny Dalglish admitting he blew £35,000,000 on a bad transfer.

Carroll will pick up soon enough - he's not coming back here anytime soon.

Have him back in a heartbeat but there are a multitude of reasons why I cannot see it happening. One I think he is too good not to come good there, though I accept even excellent players can have a rough time (Veron anyone!). They just need to show patience and I imagine he'll get time. Two money. Both what he earns and what we would be required to pay. Neither fits in with Mikes plans. Three I can't imagine he is wildly keen to return given the treatment he has received from our fans since he left. I reckon 75% have said they despise him or something along those lines, want to boo him and generally feel he engineered the move motivated by money. Would you really want to return where folk treat you like that?

The third point is not as big an obstacle as the other two because fans are fickle and change their mind like the weather.

I'd make him play in an away shirt even while at home, just so he knows he's 'different'.

  11. Let him suffer a season at Liverpool, and then we'll take him back for 15 mil.

So was I when I first read it <laugh>

    Great minds and all that...

I wouldn't being moaning if Carroll did come back, but I won't be praying for his return come January.

Interesting aint it that between Carroll and Torres they have score less goals between them than Best has. Thats £85 million and you get less than £1.5 million Leon Best.

But I dont think we will sign him back, I dont think he would fit in with our plans and I dont think Liverpool will let him go.

Agreed on Beye and Martins but pretty sure Duff was forced out.

Besides, he ain't done too bad at Fulham...

Supposedly Duff's wife wanted to live in London.

**** that taking him back would be like successfully robbing 35 million, knowing you were scot free and then turning yourself in.

To be honest there's one man I DON'T want back at the club wearing number 9... and that's Andy Carroll.

I doubt he'll ever come back to be honest. And in that unlikely event, I honestly think it'd be stupid to just hand him the number 9 straight away.

Personally, there's nothing I'd like more than to sign him for a pathetic amount and watch him start being the battering ram goal machine he was before he left.

Not because I still love Carroll or anything, purely to **** the scousers off after they pinched José for ****ing £5m. Tramps.
