The "doomers and the gloomers brigade" The "change the manager after a couple of defeats brigade"........oh yes the " brigade"
Very strange performance from the players who must be kicking themselves by accidently winning and putting in a battling performance for a manager they apparently have no faith in and who has lost the dressing room.
smodzics at Peterbro 2 goals 2 games.. they would almost do a swap for cash and him for toney! considering almost 2000 were city it was … about 3000 less than expected!
the last 10 mins looked like Reading should have won 5-0! the danger of defending a 1-0 lead and having at least 2 up toward the half way line showed how easy it is to put on pressure at times Fammy was closer to Bentley than the defence.. I suppose it needs more discipline / willpower to have a lead and be conscious of the fact you need to block them out than players have at the moment …. when ball was cleared up field no one there to challenge for it and all their players in our half … [just comments and observations not a manager or head coach]
I'm more inclined to think that all that 'LJ has lost the dressing room...' stuff probably originated from a social media post from a 12-year old LJ-Out fantasist who WANTED it to be true, then all the other LJ-Outers simply regurgitated it, until even people without an axe to grind with LJ began to wonder if there was some truth in it. The team harmony was very clear to me - particularly after the game when the players all embraced Lee as well as each other on the pitch - but the click-baiters wouldn't have been at the Madjeski to have seen that - they would have been on their PCs or tablets in their bedrooms writing the next negative fantasy rumour about LJ, ready to post on OTIB or Facebook masked as the truth.
I wouldn’t mind Warnock actually - IF there was something seriously wrong at BS3 which needed fixing - but there isn’t, so I wish him a long and happy retirement.
This is why I think a deal of c£9m for Toney is a huge risk. We sent Sammy there on loan as he wasn't deemed good enough for our matchday 17 most games, and he scores 2 in as many games in L1, we also sold Mo Eisa to Posh as he wasn't deemed good enough either, and has 13 goals for the season in L1, so why do we think Toney can step up?
Plainly they didn’t John or else we wouldn’t have sold him, whether they were right, and whether he was given enough of a chance is another question.
