Let's hope that we are proved wrong, there are marquee signings, Taylor signs a new contract and ESI buys everything in 6 months. The evidence suggests otherwise.
genuine question Mr Elfs and Mr Slaphead. Why do you want to go back on there - it hasn't really been a success on other occasions?
God, you are a morose bugger ....it must be the knowledge that Brexit is coming this week. As my sons and their mates would put it .....”banter”
I'm quite baffled by the complacency and even optimism by many fans, especially on CL. They are accepting the party line that all will be well in 6 months. I hope they're right, we'll know more by Saturday about ESI's ambition, and whether or not Southall is an upgrade on Meire.
It’s getting quite heated on Twitter already between the pro and sceptical ESI camps. I’m in the latter. A lot of it relates to the goodwill that any owner would get for ousting Duchâtelet. What makes me laugh is that the fans saying we shouldn’t “go crazy” in this transfer window will be the first ones to stop going in August if we get relegated back to League One. ESI are going to find the harsh reality of sparse crowds in League One very sobering. I suspect their response would be a cheap ST gimmick - far better to get the basics right in January, and buy the players needed to keep us up.
It was Southall who raised expectations by telling us about how important it was to get the deal done before the window opened, and the clear statement that there would be marqee signings, which as he knows cost money.
Fair do’s to @Ken Shabby for his question. Answer - we have a lot to offer. A big 3 days for the club coming up. The usual voices will be loudest claiming “we will be fine” regardless.
One of your posts didn't go down at all well on Twitter.... I was going to jump in and help... but then thought …. Ahhh s0d it
