I'd have thought that both Southampton and north London were far easier for you to get to than Nodge? :emoticon-0112-wonde

I'm afraid with my long term medical issues, I wouldn't be able to attend if it was at Weston-super-Mare FC :(

I thought Fährmann did well against Burnley, but it's only one cup game to judge by. In pre-season he spilled quite a few shots but I wouldn't judge by that either. DF sees them both in training every day - we don't. I'm happy leaving the decision to him.

I hope we sign him on a permanent in the summer he is a class secondary stopper

McGovern stopped a penalty to be fair when called upon when Rafe made his debut then went off crocked

Bugger of a draw, either team could well prioritise the cup as a way of ensuring something good comes of their season.

Guess the hope is Spurs get through, and continue to close the gap on CL places, so they want to prioritise the league.

I would like to see the bulk of the players that got us this far used and push for their places .

This is our last chance to qualify for Europe after all

But we've recently beaten Burnley, Preston and Everton away from home.
And drawn away vs Leicester, Palace and Bournemouth.
So, if anything, the form guide favours us away :emoticon-0112-wonde

This is a better draw than one of the top 5 teams. Pity it's away again, but we've played well against Spurs this season and they are still chasing a CL place so will be careful with their best players. Should Saints win the replay at Spurs, they will probably field a strong side as they're comfortable in mid-table. Think I'd prefer Spurs and less travelling.

Just checked the Saints forum and they seem pretty pleased to be playing us - see it as an easy draw.

Our first half performance against them in December probably was close to our worst half this season, to be fair.

Hopefully they will be v overconfident if they get past Spurs.

Not sure I agree - I would usually prefer to play a team like Southampton where our odds are that much better. Spurs will see the FA Cup as a decent chance of silverware (Mourinho has a good record in knock out) and have strength in depth, so even their second string is a match.

Its's also a midweek tie, sandwiched between Leicester and Sheff Utd. So let play the kids ;)

We won the MilkCup and got relegated, could we be in line for a unique double?

Most PL teams have strength in depth, even us. We made 7 changes and still comfortably beat Burnley, who made fewer changes. I think we play better against big teams and we were unlucky not to get more points against Spurs this season.
