. That’s my point. They effectively have 2 first teams. Look at their bench. At least they’ve got a hell of a squad for the money they’ve spent....unlike some
Is Klopp going to ask the supporters to go and support the team while simultaneously saying he can't be ****ed with it?
The FA: "Clubs should not arrange competitive or friendly matches with other clubs during the mid-season player break." Also the FA: "We've arranged these competitve matches with other clubs during the mid-season player break."
He doesn't need to, stadium will be packed even if we were playing the local school's dinner ladies team.
I would rather the FA didn't chat ****. You're either on a break or not. Professional football isn't a 90s sitcom where misunderstandings lead to hilarious consequences.
I'd rather they grew a pair of brain cells and gave it some logical thought. How about not doing replays entirely and just go to pens if want to reduce schedule congestion or improve player mental/physical welbeing with a break. Same as their lack of thought with semi-final wembley fixures which completely ruins the magic of a wembley final. FA is lead by muppets with no genuine care for the players/teams and no common sense to run a tap.
It's ****ing Kafkaesque. The FA recognise players have too much physical and mental demands from the current schedule. So they make the teams that play the most take time out of the break specifically designed to help alleviate the physical and mental demands.
Whatever mate, Klopp is the only one whinging about replays and wanting to change over 100 years of football
Because players aren't machines and our squad isn't as deep as other teams. Our goal's the PL this season, any other fan would want exactly the same thing if they were in our situation. Play your big guns against Shrewsbury when this is your best shot in 30 years of winning the PL? Please. So too is the pace and pressure of the game much higher than it was.
City fans disrespecting the cup. Pep: "Today was not full - I don't know why. Hopefully our fans can come, more people than today. Hopefully they can support us more." https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51258522
So we scrap replays and deny smaller teams the extra revenue and glamour from playing at a big stadium because Klopp hasn't built a proper squad, **** that
so Pep didn’t suggest to stop replays then? It’s just Klopp? Maybe we should go back to the laced up balls?
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51243113 Pep: "The Carabao Cup and FA Cup will be played. But maybe we could cancel the replays."
No. We scrap replays and look after the players' welbeing as a priority over revenue and glamour. If the FA was run correctly (as previously mentioned) then they'd find other solutions to the revenue issue. All rounds prior to 5 being played at the big stadia for example, gate receips weighted in favour of the smaller teams, prize money taken from the PL and filtered into the cup comps, wages capped and a tiny percentage filtered down to grass foots or community projects. Plenty they could do if they could be arsed. But no, lets just jump on the #KlopptheenemyoftheBritishgame bandwagon. Your 'proper squad' jibe is farcical, even for you...maybe you'd rather all teams go spunk 1 billion pound of un-earned money to make it fairer for the players' playing time
