Does anyone know where the artwork of the seaman that was on St Andrews Retail park has gone. Has it been moved to with a view to placement at the new Maritime centre...?
It was removed in October, it's going back in a new site once the flood defences are finished... please log in to view this image
Bridgey McBridgeface obviously. The word you were looking for was "mooted" by the way. Just saying for a friend.
Unsurprisingly, the plans to develop the Albion Square site (BHS/Co-Op) with a major retail development, have now been scrapped. It's now going to be entirely an office/residential development.
I think they still hope to stick the Ice Arena in there somewhere, it's just the retail plans that have been scrapped.
Sensible decision regarding retail outlets. There’s enough empty outlets in the City without adding to the problem.
Not sure where to put this (admins please move if there’s another thread more appropriate) interesting article https://inews.co.uk/news/royal-feud...en-shaped-by-history-and-stubbornness-1373192
Like that...good read “Hull has a complete disregard for consonants. We just don’t give a **** about them,"
The amount of existing retail space didn't actually have any bearing on this decision, the aim was to build massive footprint retail and it needed the likes of a John Lewis or M&S to be interested and apparently, they weren't, so it's not viable.
might depend if you mean true north, or magnetic north. I haven't really looked, but in terms of the most commonly used way of longitude and latitude York is further North than Hull
Well I take your point. But if you set off from York's Shambles and head south, which is the context of the article, you are going to be disappointed.when you pass through Selby and get to Doncaster.
