Get outta here My son's got an MEng ( probably about the same age as you) and he can spell just fine, you say it as if the two things go together. And ...... I presume you come on here and make outrageous statements for the engagement. It's a forum, people pick up on anything you say, that's kind of how it works. Good job astro's not as touchy as you
I thought you would have remembered the conversation tbh as I did I give very little personal information out on here so when I do, why lie.
I’m an engineer and I specialize in fixing things. I wouldn’t say spelling is one of my favorite topics.
After saying I give out very little personal information I am giving some out now (which isn't new information if you've known me for a while). I have one son who's an engineer and one who's a doctor. The doctor uses almost exclusively text talk in his messages to me - so much so I need to check out what he's actually saying. The engineer will never abbreviate let alone use text talk. He is as precise in his messaging as he is in his job.
That’s why the hood image was used. I do remember the thread. If I had my time again, would still pick engineering. But move to the commercial side earlier to maximise earning potential. Still love what I do however. Your lad must be one of the smart ones why can spell, they get snapped up by the good places. The rest end up bitter and twisted like me sat in dark rooms trying to make the dreams of marketing a reality.
I never write in anything other than capital letters. Cards from me are so impersonal. Don’t abbreviate either, mainly because I am a different age to kids who do it.
Had the chance for a sponsored role when I graduated for Aus. But my Mrs is a family bird so we stayed. I regret it daily
