Couldn't make it tonight but it looks like Reeves played the whole game !! What was he like? Promising? Finger crossed !!!
He played behind the striker (he's been playing there for the under-21's recently). He looked very good especially in the first half. He was composed, passed it well and despite his size, he battled very well. Could well be another good player produced from the academy.
I couldn't of said it better,thought he looked good but hopefully he will fill out a bit because he looked tiny.
He's no softy but he is tiny! Good little player, crisp passing, good vision and movement - very promising. Btw, I hate only having one striker up front! I think Barnard is our only player who can play that role.
Saw Barny outside of the ground before the match, reckoned he would be back to full training next week.
interesting - very pleased to see youngsters get a chance, such a shame we only have 5 subs now as maybe he would get on the bench and get a chance, much less likely now though. if he keeps it up he may get a game when we are really busy, like the next week!
Adkins said he would have liked to get the other youngsters on as well, but the game was too tight..said perhaps next time!
Reevo is a left back has been all his career. He has also been at the academy all his career. Needs to put some weight back on though as he is looking a bit slim of late. He will be one for the future though, he as always been a quick skillful player, give him time.
Saw the bench consisted of JWP and Shaw too! Great to see the youngsters on the brink of the first team
Reeves will be on the same diet as the other players..there is a % fat that is considered optimal (I think I've got some of theirs). He probably will put on some muscle, but his body is developing still. Hate to keep repeating it, but Adkins and team will have their eye on it.
I was really impressed with him, defo one to look out for. So pleased he got an assist. Had a couple of half-chances in the second half too but looked awesome in the first. JWP is a name that I've heard a lot of although I haven't seen him play yet. Our academy is one of the best in the country, we should be getting the benefit from it, not Prem league clubs!!
Another player player who has just signed a Scholar at Saints is Dominic Gape and going one to be one for the future, You heard it here first.
