    as someone who supports a Championship club, so has no axe to grind with either team, I’m not sure VVD did much wrong to be honest and imho the goal should have stood. It’s not his fault De he’s isn’t strong enough to hold onto the ball

    I was disappointed, but not at all surprised that it was disallowed.
    Virgil didn't do anything wrong, he had eyes for the ball only, and up against any outfield player there's no problem with that challenge. However, rightly or wrongly, it seems any challenge on a keeper is deemed a foul these days, so it was at least consistent in that respect.
