    Genia is captain,Horwill rested,Pocock injured(massive loss),McCalman in,Mitchell on wing,Palu at number 8.
Dan Lydiate has suffered ankle ligament damage against Samoa, not known how long he will be out!Wales also fear James Hook could be out for 2-3 weeks!
France are playing down rumours they will field an understrength side against New Zealand,in the hope of losing and therefore avoiding Australia and South Africa in the knockout stages!

yeh just read the same, horwell aint being rested, he is injured according to our news, minor chest or stomach injury, wasnt James Hook the guy in ZULU (the malingerer who got a VC), i think france could put their best team out and still lose to NZ, never know with the french, legends one half, duds the next

Roll up for the turkey shoot this morning, SA v Namibia, even the SA 2nd string could put 100 points on the board against this lot, I suppose the football equivalent would be Brazil v Faroe Islands...

I see Euan Murray has refused to play for his Country this Sunday because of his "religious beliefs". Considering hes from Glasgow I wonder what kind of "religious" person he is?!!! Some sort of zealot no doubt.

In any case, refusing to turn out for such a crucial game is unbelievable. Hes a disgrace to his Nation.

Its total bullsh**e. If our Lord blessed him with a talent then he would want him to use the buckin thing. Also, has nobody told this airhead that our Lord is indeed a big rugger fan and will be watching the match on Sunday with his 12 mates.

If he's a professional he has to accept that he is gonna have to play some games on Sunday, he should decide what comes first, if it's his religion he should quit the professional game...

Guys, I'm going to stick my neck out and make a bold prediction. I think that if Ireland can beat Italy then we will make it to the final. I am NOT being disrespectful to the other Northern Hemisphere teams but i think that i have good cause to make this bold statement. Leaving out the last 4-6 months, Ireland have prob been the most consistent team in the Northern Hemisphere for the last 4-5 years (not always best but most consistent). In recent years we have won numerous Triple Crowns, a grand slam, and Irish teams have won 4 out of the last 6 Heineken Cups. The last Lions squad was dominated by Irish players. We have gone to Paris and beaten the French, Cardiff and beaten the Welsh and Twickenham and beaten the English. While other teams are strong in certain positions or have solid backs or forwards, i think from 1-15 we have the most 'complete" team. I know that in recent months we have been poor but we did not just beat the Aussies, we blew them off the pitch. The scoreboard did not reflect our complete dominance across the pitch. And this very point gives me great confidence. Our backs have not even clicked yet. If they had of clicked against Australia it would have been slaughter. I think the Welsh are magnificent to watch, but we simply have better players in more positions than them. The English have huge world cup experience but simply do not have the players. There are several better teams and squads at this World Cup. While they will not go out without a fight, i think they have very very few world class players and this will tell in the latter part of the World Cup. If the French decide to show up and play, they will be a threat.

Hope my notes do not cause offense, as this is not my aim. I think my arguement is solid and the facts and stats are there for all to see. I know sport is wonderful in its unpredictability. I wish success to all the Northern teams and will be shouting for you. I also know i am sticking my neck out but only time will tell.
