    I don't quite understand something. Isn't Barton wearing a Newcastle shirt during the Gervinho incident? How would that prevent Wenger from signing him? All Barton did was demonstrate the fire he has in him and the passion that Arsenal so obviously lacks. If Wenger drops the transfer just because Barton tried to take Gervinho to task for going down too easily for a penalty, then that just tells us what kind of a narrow-minded person Wenger is.

    I can't imagine Wenger wouldn't have signed him just because of that incident. It was more likely the 'baggage' that Barton has accumulated over the years.

    This says it all to me. He likes living in Newcastle, London, where ever he is. Surprised he didn't mention the passion of QPR fans. Let's face it a lot of Toon fans were sucked in by his self PR & how great it is playing for The Toon now he's going to be saying the same at QPR. Another Joey PR stunt recently getting Bothroyd to post on twitter a picture of Joey reading Warnocks autobiography. Gotta hand it to Joey he's learned very well how to ingraciate himself with the fans. . . . . . . . . . where ever he is.

    glad to see so many Barton articles really hope the fat one offers him a new contract and he doesn't leave at the end of the season.....oh wait <doh>





    HE'S NOT OUR PLAYER ANY MORE WHO CARES it was bad enough when he was our player and the threads that were about **** like "ohh look joey's just tweeted he's had a dump how cool" but does anyone actually care

    Exactly, people really got off on every little comment he made. Some of the artcles published on here were a joke, it was like Barton himself had infiltrated our board.

    Mock all you want but the fact remains Newcastle are one of the few clubs - perhaps the only club - who would have got rid of such a good player just for opening his mouth.

    Warnock knows what he's doing making him captain.

    The fire and passion required to fall on the floor like you've been shot after Gervinho brushed his **** haircut? Thats a rather one sided view of the incident.

    Anyway, I initially dismissed this story as bullshit as it came from Talkshite. Now I know its come straight from Barton, I'm dismissing it as bullshit.
