It's a bit of a tricky one, and not really a "yes" or "no" for me. I would of course prefer not to share any potential new stadium, and would love it it we were able to build a new stadium of our own. However, I voted yes because if the stadium was right, and if it was a case of either getting a new state of the art shared stadium or there being no chance whatsoever of getting one, then for me it's a no-brainer. Like Sooper says, the simple fact is that we absolutely need a new stadium if we are to become an established premier league outfit and want to grow.
Brighton's stadium looks great and isn't that big capacity wise afaik. We do need a new stadium but ground sharing never again please. The pitch ends up a mess and the way we are playing at the moment we certainly don't need a rubbish surface.
I think the stadium should be one that is along the lines of Brighton's with say a 25,000 capacity that could easily be added to if and when necessary...
is it really impossible to build upwards at Loftus Road? Keep the existing stands as they are now, but build new ones over South Africa Road and the Loft, leaving the other two as they are today to allow the sun to shine on the grass. This would keep us the fans on top of the pitch, preserve the atmosphere, which is intimidating for the opposition, but at the same time increase capacity and facilties which is necessary for the future development and progress of the Club. We could even have a 100 meter high bump and grind room I realise this will be difficult but perhaps not as costly as a new site, especially with Mittal steel! Do local residents object to building higher stands?
