Cmon cleaning the vent before and after each dry is basic ****ing washing/drying etiquette, also leaving your washer door open for a while after using it.

    Basic ****

I think youd have to live in an old cardboard box before the vapour from your clothes drying become an issue ffs

If it’s more than 5 years old it won’t have vapour barriers or mechanical ventilation systems. Just living produces so much moisture from cooking, bathing etc. Warmer the house the more moisture the air can carry.

Mordern houses still have cold bridges and cold spots usually because they’re built badly. Normally around doors and windows reveals. Corners of walls to the ceiling. The water in the air condenses and causes mould and it does that in the loft. When you see a roof sagging it can be because of wet rot and woodworm weakening the structure over time. Not always like but lots of condensation is bad.

I lived in a converted garage once on the side of a house in gants hill, was totally dodgy but cheap and close to work at the time, i used to put the oven on and leave the door open as all the bills was included and it only had those ****ty oil rads you plug in.
