It’s more like ready steady cook. Some twat would turn up with a potato a tin of tomatoes and spam.

issue was there was a larder full of additional stuff so you could cheat.

We have basic ingredients like onions etc

Then we choose X amount of ingredients between us and got a week to make sumt and get pics up

 

Its commonly used here mainly with chicken and fish to create a sweet and sour taste. Lots of different varieties of pineapple though - nanas madu (honey pineapple) is small soft and sweet so is ideal for cooking.

Would never have it on a pizza though.

Goes superbly with chilli chicken especially when cooked with pineapple juice, soy sauce n ketchup.
