Man arrested for assisting in shop robbery claimed he'd had a nice warm feeling about it.

My son was on a crash barrier going mental at the end of the Southampton away game when we won 2-1 under Keane.

A woman steward came up screaming at him to get down, he totally ignored her.

She stormed off and came back with a grinning male steward who casually said, 'Do me favour mate, jump down will you' which he immediately did.

Cue more screaming from the woman who said, 'That's sexist, you wouldn't get down for me because I'm a woman'.

    'No, it's because you're a twat'.

Cue the male steward cracking up and her storming off again <laugh>

My view is that society has become about being perceived as winning an argument, rather than about being moral, honest, polite or dignified. In essence, you can be as insulting, obnoxious, wrong-headed and frankly awful as you like, as long as you get a rise out of someone, somewhere.

That can then be used to say that because the other person lost their temper, no matter how valid their point, you 'won', which seems to matter more than any sense of right or wrong today.

The trouble is there are people on here who tell you they are offended by what you have said when you haven’t meant to offend them and then they will go to a match and call the ref ( directly) your a blind bastard or your a f ucking ****er and never think oh! He could of had testicular cancer or one of his children are blind or even he is a bastard and they won’t think twice about that hypocritical tossers

We were in the Wembley Hilton the night before the League Cup final.

The ref was in so we got a white stick and some dark sunglasses to have our pictures taken with him.

He was loving it and other people were queuing up to have theirs taken.

Sure enough some daft snowflake came up and started ranting about how a real blind person might be offended.

FFS man, as Lady Diana would say ...

    ... "It's a minefield out there!"

I think social media plays a big part in the “everything’s offensive” culture because it’s so easy to tell the world that you’re offended. Not only have you got a massive audience but you’re anonymous and isolated from that audience. Different situation when it was just two or three folk talking in the pub.

It sounds like a cliche but I think social media is the cause of a lot of problems. Facebook is apparently linked to depression.

There should be a facility, on here, whereby you can give someone a Gold Star rather than just a 'like'.
