I'm actually a decent chinky/thai cook mate. I learned from locals. One thing missing, and brits hate it, MSG. I'm sure i can get it somewhere. Did help that i went shopping this morning and bought fresh gear. Was gonna be a steak chips mushrooms and onion rings...But side tracked.
Your Chinese/Thai dishes look like restaurant food. My brother is exceptional at cooking Indian dishes. He’s spent hundreds of hours studying, practicing and modifying them. He can serve up an Indian banquet that’s better than any top class Indian restaurant. I let him to do the hard graft and then ask him to send me the recipes so I can modify them a bit more to suit our taste.
You should just eat that sort of thing all the time bro, your fried hoy food looks abysmal. Make Sui Mai and Har Gow tomorrow and I’ll crown you king of the grub thread.
Have had gammon, chips and Michu peas, two fried eggs . Did take a photo as managed not to burn anything then realised there was an envelope in the shot with my name and address on so can’t post it.
I made a bolognese tonight out of stuff that was just left in the fridge, left it on simmering all afternoon about 5 hours. Mince beef the 5% fat only stuff I very large onion I large courgette Tin of tomatoes & some added water Garlic Salt Italian herbs (mixed) Didn't have any mushrooms or carrots, so as I say just a case of using what there was. Had a packet of pasta shells in the cupboard, done them 10mins before serving. I served some bread (not garlic!) with it to, but didn't really need it as the shells are quite filling.
Could be arsed to post the ingredients and **** but cpuldnt be arsed to press a button on his phone. Seems legit
