For anyone who doesn't know Series One is starting on Sky Atlantic 108 at 9pm this Wednesday. I implore anyone who hasn't seen it to watch/Sky Plus it as it is fooking amazing. Please don't be put off by the gangster theme either. It's very character driven and concentrates a lot on the relationships the main guy has with his wife and kids (so you can watch it with the wife/bird!) Iv'e just finished watching the whole lot for the second time and think it's the best television series of all time. Anyone else a fan? Also, anyone seen The Wire and is it worth investing on DVD?
Bah! Im pretty sure we all know that the best TV series of all time is of course.... Stargate SG-1!!!
No no no! Thats the whole reason why Stargate SG-1 was cool. You could actually watch it and not be called a geek. Unlike Star-trek
When I started in this job four years ago the three boys in my office would talk about Stargate SG-1 all the time. I ****ing hate that show with a passion!! It's ****e, the acting is ****ing rank rotten. They pretty much spend every episode winking at the camera like demented goons.
Right, I'v seen some pretty depraved and disgusting things mentioned on this board. But this time its going to far... Nobody can mock the mighty SG-1! NOBODY!!!!!!
Methinks the lady doth protest too much. I'm a self-admitted geek. But Star Trek and SG-1 are for people who speak with adenoids and keep pens in their shirt-pocket. "Dilberts" I call them please log in to view this image
Someone offshore gave me a pirate copy of the first series. It was riddled with a virus. Had to format my portable HDD that I've had for nearly 4 years. Will never ever watch that programme now, it'll forever be associated with the loss of 4 years worth of porn, films and music
Fantastic show Peter. I saw it a year or so ago on FX. It portrayed the politics of war very well. It's from the makers of The Wire.
I'm a moron. The series I was given that killed my HDD was "Sons of Anarchy" I saw two episodes of Generation Kill round at my mates house. Really well done for a TV show. The best show on TV right now is "Breaking Bad" no-one can argue with me on that one. If you've not seen it, get all 3 series and prepare to be blown away. Bryan Cranston puts in the best ever performance by anyone in a TV show. Better than anyone in the Wire, the Sopranos. Even better than Robert Powell in Jesus of Nazareth or LeVar Burton in Roots.
I watched the first 3 episodes of Breaking Bad, but I never got into it. Getting good reviews though. Anyone seen the 2 series of Eastbound and Down? Great stuff
