I see Iran has admitted shooting down that aircraft then! A very brave event. It’s not often you can give them credit but I do for that.

Paul Mason an old Corbynite on BBC2 supporting Keir Starmer for the leadership. I was quite surprised that he wasn't in favour of RLB.

Watched this a few weeks ago and it's a spot on analysis of the state of politics today. It's very worrying and I'm not sure how you fight this on a higher political level. The financial and political elite own the media that most people read, watch and listen to. The only way Finland has managed to resits the social media fake news is by mass education of these dangers. They have benefited enormously from their efforts and now have a young and progressive PM leading a government focussed on social equality and care.

Thanks for posting it.

You’ve answered your own question there mate. Education is the antidote to ignorance.

there is a power which controls the direction/path this country and others are meant 2b on and anyone who strays from that path are humiliated by media and the sheeple effect of hate and ridicule soon follows.........but yeah its the direction of which fear and chaos controls the minds of the masses whilst they the house of Rothschild and the likes enjoy our downfall whilst living a life 99% of the population could only ever dream of......yep most of us 99% wouldn't enjoy murdering and sexual satanic rituals that take place, but trouble is some do want this power some do want more than your normal sexual fantasies>>>>see all the western worlds politicians for evidence and look no further than the self claimed royal family for this type behaviour.....they are untouchable because the police and authorities do not work for us ultimately they are again signed up 2 thy royal shyness and we all know the lack of empathy from that cu,nt of a woman.

But it is unlikely that this government will allow for the people to be educated about this.
I really despair for the future of my children and grandchildren.
I feel we have entered the Dystopian era.

What were Tony Blair’s three stated priorities, before becoming PM? Education, Education, Education. By and large he delivered on this, and created a generation of well informed thoughtful young adults (the demographic most opposed to Brexit, Nationalism, Conservatism etc).

The old farts, and little England bigots, will die out eventually. In the meantime, it’s vital that those of us who believe in a more tolerant , more equal society, do not give up the fight.

For real change to come about there will need to be a massive public uprising and a mass rejection of the current state of things. The great leveller might well be the climate crisis. When politicians can't even agree on what form of words to use in a document, then we all know not enough will be done to help fix it.

Only when millions of people in the West start being adversely affected there might be a big enough shift in public opinion to stand up and fight for change. It might be too late by then but we can but live in hope.

“Just look at us. Everything is backwards, everything is upside down. Doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, psychiatrists destroy minds, scientists destroy truth, major media destroys information, religions destroy spirituality and governments destroy freedom.”

Australia going up in flames is a tough one to ignore, even for politicians who are sponsored by oil and coal companies.

if you were a religious bigot you would probably say this is gods wrath for homosexuality......of course he would be totally wrong, just like he would about his blind faith and his opinion he has a room in gods house in the clouds.

is there anyone more evil than religious people these days>>>>>the hypocrisy is astounding

Matthew 7:15
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

You could well be right, and as Archers has said, education is the answer. The biggest problem with that is it has to be done on a grass roots level, almost on a one to one basis and that will take far too long. There are also millions of people who don't want to listen to things that are a challenge to their beliefs.

I would put £50 on the fact that if people couldn't do their regular supermarket shop, watch all the crappy shows on TV, buy cheap clothes, have cheap holidays and couldn't have more than one car per household then all hell would break loose. Restrict the money anyone can possess and there would be riots in the streets and absolute chaos.

As you say Badger, we are probably some way into a Dystopian era and it's frightening how few people realise that it's happened.
