The jungle drums are NOT sounding promising about Conor Gallagher tonight. It’s coming from Chelsea sources as well. Losing our talisman should be a massive setback, possibly a terminal one. He’s that good.
That's what happens sometimes with loan players. Without ESI to back Bowyer in this transfer window Charlton would surely be heading back to League One. Losing Gallagher will be a serious setback, but we still have a chance to stay up this season.
Gallagher gets a kicking from Championship defenders in most games I've seen. Maybe this has influenced Lampard.
Reports of him going to a fellow championship side, 180 miles from home, do not make sense. He's going nowhere. I know my football.
If he stays in the championship he’s going to get the same lumps kicked out of him by the same defenders , so is it our inept medical department the reason to move him ?
If lamps has been advised that’s it’s not in the players best interest to stay ,remembering that he’s a financial asset to Chelsea, then yes he probably would . I personally hope it’s all bollox though
Recalling Gallagher from Charlton makes no sense if he is only going to be loaned out to another Championship Club (assuming there is nothing unfair going on behind the scenes). So presumably - if he is going anywhere - it will be to a Club in a different league. I too naturally hope this story isn't true.
Gallagher needs to be playing with top players, and since Williams, Taylor and especially Cullen got injured he hasn't been so effective. It would be wrong for him to leave us just as they are coming back. He's happy here, he's improving and the fans love him. It must be better for him to stay in London too.
My loathing of that club, since the Parker and desert incidents, has been fading somewhat recently, but could easily spring back to life.
