Couple of sources reporting we're trying to lower the Piatek fee by offering Aurier to Milan as part of the deal.

If this happens, it will be the best piece of transfer business since we signed VDV.

Ballsacks is just a B-tech Hotspur Related in that he pulls in articles from around the country/ Europe, he ain't the actual source though.

He and Chris Cowlin tried starting an equivalent to AFTV the other week, Spurs fans shot them down so badly they deleted the Twitter account of the channel within hours <laugh>

Sky are claiming that Gedson Fernandes has completed his medical and will be announced in the next 24 hours.
Unveiled at the Boro game, perhaps?

Here's a short list of things he can be criticised for
1.) Seemingly freezing out Foyth for making one mistake in one match, yet Aurier is a nailed-on started in spite him being more likely to split our midfield than Andrea Pirlo ever could
2.) Picking one nonsensical midfield pairing after another, which Poch at least had some justification for in terms of Winks/Sissoko as Skipp was the only other midfielder with first team experience last season, but this season not only are we freezing out Skipp but ignoring Lo Celso has experience as a CM
3.) Thinking that, because Eriksen succeeded as a CM in one game against Olympiacos, that means he can play there - sort of like thinking that, because Gary Doherty got some useful knock-downs once when drafted in as a forward he could feature there on a more frequent basis
4.) Giving chance after chance to players phoning it in or reaching the past it stage such as Eriksen and Vertonghen while reducing the playing time of Lo Celso or Sessegnon to twenty minute cameos - which we regularly (and rightly) criticised Poch for
5.) Needing 45 minutes to work out the best shape and system for the team, rather than starting the game with the shape and system that is effective - which we (and BrunelGooner) regularly (and rightly) criticised Unai Emery for last season
6.) Randomly dropping Sanchez for a few games in spite him being arguably our most consistent centre back this season (damning with faint praise that may be) which worked about as well as could be expected

This is the problem: at Chelsea he had a firm vision of what his plan was and who would be a part of it and who needed to be replaced or upgraded, but so far with us there's been so much chopping and changing as one minute he's using the exact same tactics that Poch implemented with asymmetrical fullbacks and the next he's playing three at the back, one minute we're playing quick passes to get the ball forward and the next we're playing stodgy possession-based football

More than anything else, have you not read the Goon Garbage thread? The issue with them isn't that they turn on the manager on a dime, the issue is they're in denial about the manager until it gets too hard to ignore. Look at Ty of AFTV, he'd sooner blame a blade of grass growing at slightly the wrong angle for a loss that suggest that Wenger got his tactics and/or lineup wrong, just as countless fans of theirs would angrily shout down any claim of Ozil being a passenger by saying he was the best number ten in world football even though the stats made it painfully obvious that he'd been dining out off one season (see also: Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey) and in the time since the likes of De Bruyne, Hazard, Eriksen, Mahrez and Maddison were all showing far greater quality and consistency than Ozil, instead they were indignantly howling that Emery kept dropping him to the bench...you know, sort of like the Lunatic Fringe howled when Poch dropped Eriksen and Vertonghen at the start of the season or said he wanted Danny Rose out the door, so saying that the fans are starting to sound like that lot down the road is wide of the mark - because plenty of them were doing that last summer, you just didn't pay attention

So to answer your question about what I want, it's quite simple: consistency
    Consistent tactics
    Consistent performances
    Consistent team selection
    Consistent criticism where it's deserved

And that's the problem, none of those have been the case since November - at least, not consistent in the manner that is satisfactory, but somehow we're supposed to pretend these aren't issues because we've got a manager who wins titles when he's got either the funds or the unassailable position in the league that we simply do not have, and so far he's not justifying his reputation because of the chopping and changing, because of the odd tactics choices, because of the baffling team selections, and because he's making mistakes that Poch made but apparently we're wrong to criticise him for doing the exact same thing as if he's Kate Middleton and Poch is Meghan Markle

Do you really not see this?

    Milanese Watch
It seems that Spurs misfits are the in thing in the heart of Lombardy, with FootballDotLondon reporting that Milan are willing to offer £15m for Aurier

Is a cash + Aurier deal for Piatek too much to hope for?

    Soumare Watch
La Voix Du Nord has reiterated Soumare's desire to stay at Lille to try and win a trophy...as if nobody's noticed that Lille are fifteen points behind table-topping PSG and have crashed out of Europe while picking up a solitary point in their CL campaign, but I'm sure that's his motivating factor and not the increased leverage he would have when negotiating with a new club once his contract expires at the end of the season

    141 appearances
    85 starts

    16 goals
    25 assists

    not too shabby

And his tenacity isn’t given a stat but often Lamela ups the tempo of the team when he’s involved

I have said before and will say again, you would have won the league the year Leicester won it if Lamela hadn't been injured.

That was his best season definitely.

When has he ever done it in a big game though?

    Taken from the Guardian

Tottenham overtook Arsenal and Chelsea to become the most revenue-generating club in a London mini-league thanks in part to the broadcast revenue from a Champions League run that took them to the final.

The north London club achieved its highest ever position of eighth with revenues of €521m, just ahead of Chelsea on €513m, with Arsenal occupying 11th spot on €445.6m, down from ninth.

Deloitte said it expects Tottenham’s matchday revenue to soar past €117m (£100m) for the first time next year after a full term in the new 62,062 stadium, which the club occupied for less than half of the season covered in the report.

Someone tell the owners that there is something in the theory

Weirdly enough, that season remains Lamela's only injury-free one to date. Did you mean the following season when Chelsea won it?

It's a difficult case to argue as we played our best football of the PL era in 16/17 when Lamela was out the whole year and was replaced by Alli and Son in the starting line up.

Like many of our players, I see him as an excellent squad member but ultimately not good or consistent enough to be a regular starter. The same can almost definitely be said about Winks, Sissoko and Lucas. Funnily enough the one thing they all have in common is that they give 100% every game.

Just reading that Ashley Youngs move to Inter might be off - I have issues with him, but is anybody here thinking he could do a job for us?

    #15898
  19. Yep. We need the filthy tactics he could bring to the team.

    We are lacking that.

    Just not that desperate.
