Good Morning. Its Monday 13th January, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Adams move to Elland Road will come at a cost Communication between Victor Orta and the hierarchy at St Mary's are believed to be at an advanced stage regarding bringing Che Adams to Elland Road. Although Saints Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has made his feelings clear that he does not want to lose the 23yo hitman, the chain of command have been ready to negotiate. Leeds will have to pay the South Cost club 1m, and must sign him permanently in the Summer! It is not known at this stage what fee the Whiters will have to part with in the Summer, but rest assured Southampton have the upper hand. Adams moved to St Marys last Summer from Birmingham City for a fee of 15m, It has been revealed by the Sun this Morning that Newcastle are willing to part with Dwight Gayle for 8m! The 29yo has proved how clinical he can be in the Championship but with only nine appearances under his belt this term, how long would it take him to get up to speed? Adams for 16m or Gayle for 8m. For a local derby with so much at stake, the game was atrocious. The atmosphere both on and off the pitch were as flat as a pancake. You'd find more life at a Gareth Gates concert. Two late goals from Murphy and Nuhiu, (their only shots on target) were enough to give the Owls their first points in 5 league games. 5 from the last 6 goals Leeds have conceded were from oppositions first shot at goal. Who's at fault? It's easy to blame Casilla, but can you say hat either goals were well defended? Is Bamford a striker? If Adams is signed, will he still play second fiddle to Bamford? Leeds no longer have the best goal difference in the Championship. That honour no belongs to Brentford, and former fans favourite Pontus Jansson with a GD of three. Bielsa's post match Interview
Good Morning to Matt and co from a hazyBardsey So sorry for you lads having to watch Monk revel I understand that we are signing Poveda from City in the next few days and has his contract expires this summer for not a lot of money Andre Gray has been mentioned along with Adams lets hope we sort it out before QPR Brentford are getting to close we need to regroup
Brentford have the best defence in the league too. Also, there's a stat doing the rounds that we've conceded 76% of shots on target. I find it hard to believe that Kiko has only saved 1 in every 4 shots?
In other news Elia Caprile has passed this medical, and should become a Leeds Utd player later today. The 18-year-old shot stopper has been in impressive form for the youth team of Chievo Verona, and has drawn the attention of many top flight clubs. Where does this leave Miazek and Meslier. What has happened to Will Huffer? Leeds are hot on the pursuit for Manchester City winger Ian Poveda to replace Jack Clarke. The 19yo has fallen out with the coaches at the Etihad after being dropped from the first team. He was previously with Arsenal and Barcelona. Unfortunately for Catalans, they had restrictions on buying youth players, and he ended up at Brentford but was poached by Manchester City within months of his arrival. Nohan Kenneh celebrated his 17th birthday by penning his first professional deal at Thorp Arch. Kenneh has recently broken into Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side after impressing for the U18's. He has also featured for England at Under-17 level this season.
Morning all. Great weekend, footie was awful. Points of note 1 Conditions for football were atrocious although wasn't all dow to that 2 Wednesday were crap 3 Kiko to blame for first goal. Had nothing to do all game and what he did was poor. Also got in a tangle with Alioski when both went for ball. Was talking to two lads who were sat behind goals and Kiko never shouted. Where have we seen that before 4 Nobody on our team can actually kick a ball. About ten shots Saturday and they either hit the roof of the stands or if on target, had the pace of a ball kicked by a four year old 5 Bamford is fantastic. Only has a couple of failings, can't head a ball or kick a ball. 6 Eire eat his first ever Indian curry 7 Beer flowed all weekend and great craic was had
Still gutted over saturday, so from a 3-0 lead over cardiff & a likely 11pt gap to third,to now just six & diminishing, my how things change. i am just hoping as we all are, it's not the usual implosion, found it hard to believe when someone mentioned that's now one win in six , i had to check that. we are still dominating matches, but as everyone can see were not scoring enough,so we need a striker, i realy don't think Adams is the answer, maybe gayle though & what about this, Gayle upfront, and as Bamford has great hold up play & distribution, and as Pablo sadly is just not up to it now, could he be our number 10? just an idea. Totally off topic, but i have got to say well done to Nigel Pearson, seems to have turned things around at Watford from 100% certainties of going down, to most likely atm surviving. As some might remember, i was in his corner before Bielsa was in the frame. Don't get me wrong i am so pleased we have Bielsa who is possibly one of the worlds best managers & if anyone will get us up he will, i have totall trust in him,i don't blame radz either i think he is doing his best within his means, but we do need a big investment from somewhere for the finale push, or it might just be deja voux once again.
good morning as predicted we are going nowhere.a striker and creative mid are needed plus drop kiko for meslier and do it now.sunday morning I was chatting to davy and we talked about bamford being a 10 rather than a striker.he has the skill to hold the ball but is a powder puff in front of goal.do we have anyone who can shoot on sight and put their foot through the ball?.today is the 13th of January and we have signed diddly squat.wednesday were there for the taking if only we had a big number 9.i was shot down early in the season for suggesting this type of player well just how many would like one now.as for being a miserable fecker at the game I tried to enjoy it but it was crap.
Without proper signings, this will be a repeat of last season, not many doubt it even if unwilling to admit it
Morning all pointless talking about the game on Saturday because thats what we got, pointless. Pleased with the new keeper signing but as I said last week, there is obviously movement going to happen in the academy. Huffer is just coming back from a serious injury but as we speak I believe the batting order is: Kiko, Meslier, Miazek, Caprille, Huffer, Skerry, Male, Turner. I think Male will be released because he was in the Summer and then recalled? turner and Skerry are U18s but I suspect either Huffer or Miazek may be going out on loan or released? the U23s are playing Crewe today at 1pm so I may go watch that
Doc using your crystal ball who do you think we will sign and when.Mike I went to hospital to be told that they are going to give me a pace maker must say they have been great with me
Mike Leeds will sign the keeper today and should sign Poveda by Wednesday and he looks a handful, more so than Jack Ckarke so can see him being Bielsaball ready as he has worked under Pep. The main striker situation is that Leeds have Adams as No1 target because Bielsa has seen him and thinks he is exactly what the team need. Failing that there are stories of Andre Gray, Emre Mor, and at least 3 more even the guy I mentioned yesterday who was due to sign for Al Rayan but stopped it as he had been speaking to Leeds? I do however believe we will have a striker by next week as the club know all hell will break if we are nearing the end of the window and fear of a Dan James situation looms
It looks like Derby have a “star player” clause in their 32Red contract which provides them with an extra £1.5 million in helping fund Rooney’s salary.
Johan Boli has decided to sign for Al Rayann on a 3.5 year deal so will not be joining Leeds Utd after all. Could be that Orta told him they were close to signing someone else, so Boli returned to his original offer...
I've been to a Gareth Gates concert in the last 6 months. Loads of milfs trying to get their hands on him whilst their husbands looked after the kids at the back.
