It’s gone to the mods. I might elevate it to the local constabulary if he persists :police:

I have a nephew who is severely autistic. He is 12 now and still doesn't speak. He would never be able to live independently, because he doesn't understand the basic principles in life.

There are all different spectrums of autism, and each spectrum represents a different challenge for someone suffering with it.

My nephew is a very happy boy, and probably wouldn't change his world for ours, but his behaviour is very challenging, and his parents and my family will have a lifetime of looking after him.

Where am I going with this?

Well, your comment didn't offend me @Simple Saffy but I can see how it could offend some people.

I think with a little more understanding of the condition, you might realise why some people could have found your comment distasteful.

And on and on we go.

I totally reject your stance on this too. I know all about autism as somebody in my little family is on the spectrum.

I don’t need any more understanding of the condition. I’m just a man who doesn’t get offended on the internet because somebody has said the word autism.

I don't think you just said the word Austism. I think you associated the word with somebody, based on what they were saying.

If that person has autism, you would have made him feel isolated, and different to the rest.

Like I said, I'm not offended, but I can understand why that poster might be, if he does have austism of course.

Okay, mate. I appreciate you’ve said you weren’t offended.

I’m going to leave it now otherwise this will just rumble on across the board. It should never have gone as far as it has.

Enjoy the rest of your night <ok>
