After their worst start to a season in living memory Inter Milan have sacked their manager. Ring any bells?
The whole thing was a complete mess, Moratti picked someone who's ideas did not fit in to the squad easily and wasn't given enough time to implement them. Looks like he has reverted to panic-sacking again.
I'm not an expert by any means but he did well with Genoa apparently in 2009. Basically he likes having a back 3 and Inter don't have the players to pull it off, which begs the question why Moratti hired him in the first place.
True but Gasperini was so clueless tactically, the owner was telling him what formation to play by his 4th game in charge (his insistence on a 3 man defence was very ineffective).
Better to be give a manger a slightly smaller pre-season but pick the right one than give the new manager no pre-season after picking the wrong one though. For me Moratti definitely messed up on this.
He used up all the money and made sure those players reached a level they will never reach again. Classic Jose.
He also won the champions league for Inter for the 1st time in god knows how many years. I don't think you can say he was bad for them.
Never did. But Jose will use up nearly everything from a club to get his aim. Makes it almost impossible for the next manager. I suppose if you asked Inter fans if they are happy with the trophies he won for them they will say yes. But afterwards they will have to put up with years of watching AC Milan do well.
