Because the normal 'benefit scrounger' on the dole doesn't bring in billions of pounds a year into the economy from tourism.

Just the Buckingham palace alone attracts 15 million tourists a year... Them 15 million tourists all need hotel rooms, restaurants, gift shops, buses, trains, taxis and endless other amounts of things they spend money on.

The royal family bring in over 2 billion pounds into the economy from tourism annually.

That's what sets them aside from the average 'benifet scrounger' IMO

Aye flying round the world in private jets lecturing us plebs without a hint of irony that we are causing the climate change and must change our ways.

 

And good on them for doing this if they can get the ostriches still in denial to change their ways..

 

Buckingham Palace is a building, it doesn't need over priveleged idiots waving from it's balcony to attract tourists. Indeed if the Queen moved out we could have unlimited access for tourists or even have it as an expensive hotel for these foreign tourists desperate to throw their money into our economy. Funny how the French and the Germans got rid of their "Royal Families" and their economies and tourism there haven't seemed to suffer as a result.

I’d imagine he inherited millions through that unfortunate death. I inherited money when my Mother passed away. It’s not uncommon. People inherit different amounts and that lad deserves all the good he receives. Our media had to role to play in his Mother’s death when he was just a bairn remember.
