So... so far it looks like Gedson and Piatek are the two strongest rumours of signings so far. Guardian and Mirror both expecting Gedson to be done soon and The Sun seemingly adamant Piatek will be too - whilst both Sky and Sky Italia have said we’ve held talks about Piatek which is pretty promising. Two signings I’d definitely welcome. If we can also add a RB it’d be a really good window for me. CB would perhaps be a cherry on top but Tanganga’s performance today gave a lot of hope and I really hope we persist with him now, would be terrible if he’s dropped. Overall we need about 6 or 7 new players but not all at once, 2-3 this window would be a good start to our rebuild.
I hope that putting Tanganga in and seeing him do well will give Jose the confidence to give Parrot an outing in the cup
Yep, we need to start the rebuild in this window with a view to completing it in the summer, so we are ready to go again next season with the squad Mourinho wants. This season is all but a write off with so much upheaval, injuries etc etc. Unfortunately, Levy`s track record says we`ll still be rebuilding in 2 years time.
So in other words, he'll be going through the motions for the next 5 months before leaving on a free?
I still have faith in Levy but a lot does depend on this window. I felt he done some great work in the summer (albeit he/ Poch should've have done stuff last season too) and I hope he delivers again in this window plus the following summer. If by the 31st, Spurs have added two or three new players I think it's a good commitment from the board after the signings of Tanguy, Gio and Sess in the summer. Just a shame those three have had stop-start beginnings to their life at Spurs. Tanguy especially, we badly miss him as our CM is dire when he's not playing.
If the €10M a year is true (roughly £190k a week), that's less than what we've offered him to stay (supposedly upwards of £200k a week). Does then in fairness fit in to what was initially said about purely wanting a new challenge and not just chasing the biggest bucks. Also, as I've said before, I'd much rather he went Inter than Madrid, hate losing our best to them, can't stand that ****ing club.
Judging by how he left the pitch after the final whistle today, I wouldn't be surprised if he's gone before our next league game. Was definitely a sense of goodbye about his actions. I hope he does too, he must know how bad he's been and that continuing here will only further tarnish all the good he's done at Spurs in previous years. Leave now, kill it with Inter and let us make a bit of dough to reinvest, win-win for all.
People were saying that after Danny Rose stood gazing around the stadium for 15 mins after the Brighton game yet the fat fecker is still hanging around like a fart in a lift.
He was just taking a breather because he's so unfit . Did look like a goodbye from Eriksen though. See it a few times with other players at various clubs, you can just tell when a player is applauding the crowd and when a player is saying bye. Could be wrong I guess but I wouldn't be surprised if he's an Inter player sooner or later.
Not really but his wage is still pretty small regardless. I also realised I worked his wage out wrong too as I based it on £10m not €10M so he'd actually be on circa £163k at Inter. I don't think money is his biggest motivator in wanting out, think he just wants a new challenge in a different country, it's why he's rejected Utd twice, he could earn far more with you lot than us or Inter.
Fernandes Watch O Jogo report that he'll be taking his medical tomorrow, with us negotiating a €4.5m loan fee with an option to make the move permanent for €50m Piatek Watch Anto Vitiello of MilanNews (so assume Tier 4) states that Milan are only interested in an outright sale rather than a loan Not really an issue, is it? Serie A Rando Watch ...que?
Gedson Fernandes due for medical tomorrow according to a lot of reports. 18 month loan with option/ obligation to buy, loan fee reported to be €4.5m, purchase fee around €50m.
Something's just dawned on me Remember a few days ago I pointed out that we have two free spots in our squad? There's a problem with that: we don't, as both Georgiou and Carter-Vickers have to be registered as they're both 22 This goes a long way to explaining why we're supposedly open to offers for CCV this month, as well as why we're upping our efforts to offload Wanyama
