One of the things that turned a possible 3 pts in to defeat was a lack of quality coming off the bench. As much as fans now dislike Eddie, today was made for him. Pablo is back and he didn't shy away. Alioski infuriated again but can't knock his effort. Can we rely on Steven's?

Not sure you can judge Hernandez and Alioski as lacking quality...Stevens yes, as he's young and learning his trade. Proabably what you're getting at is we didn't have goalscorer to bring off the bench and that's absolutely 100% correct. If we knew Eddie was going (or even likely to be going) back then we should have made the necessary preparations. We didn't and we haven't, we've now played 2 matches (inc FA cup) without that absolutely vital option that every team needs. I'll be honest here and I don't usually criticise uneccessarily but Ryan Edmonson still doesn't have a first team squad number, surely this is a decision that should be revisited given we only have Bamford and Roberts listed as stikers.
Edmondson was certainly part of the first team squad earlier this year, but don't know if this privilege has been withdrawn from him since. I queried the squad number with Shackleton at an u23 game & it was him that said that as far as he was aware, Edmondson retained the same squad number. That was close to the start of the season, tbf.
Makes sense, Casey had no official squad number listed but still made his debut recently. Maybe clutching at straws but Edmondson could have been an option today once we started going more direct. However I suspect that directness came about due to lack of ideas and desperation when in possession at the back, can't believe it's something that Bielsa would have wanted.
Next time we draw a match will posters accept it's actually not a bad result ? Somehow I doubt it...had today finished 0-0 I suspect the doom mongers would have still been out in force. None of us wanted it but we'd all take it now.
