A tremendous game, and what an fantastic result. The guys played their socks off and have now recorded what must be the biggest and most amazing performance turnaround in the history of our club. From where we were with positioning, passing, body language and lethargy, to where we are now is nothing short of astonishing. We are easily playing out 90/95 minutes and still fighting for everything right to the end. Leicester playing the highlights of the other game between us just came over as spiteful, and it only served to make them look stupid. Still banging on about that nine are we Leicester? Well here’s one for you; Danny Ings is a real number 9 and he has scored 10 out of 10 so run along and do one. We also thankfully have no one in the Saints team who is as ****ing ugly or as much of a cheating freestyle diver as Jamie Vardy. For me, Stuart Armstrong has firmly cemented his place in the team with his recent performance and I reckon he will turn out to be one of our best buys. He was everywhere and was putting in a hell of a shift. I’m surprised he could even walk off the pitch when he was subbed. What a player. What is there to say about Danny Ings. The energy he has, his positioning and work rate is out of this world. Man of the match for me and that £20m is looking like peanuts. Forget Red Bull, this is a ****ing Carlsberg team. What a Team, and what a Manager.
I am going to stake a late claim for some credit in us winning today. No internet for the first half, which we drew. Internet up and running, and me watching and we won the second half. I was quietly confident before the game so am absolutely buzzing, not just with the win, but because we were more than a match for the team second in the league.
I found Some sped up footage of Southampton FC since the 0 - 9 loss. please log in to view this image
I don’t think they effect what happens on the pitch. I just think it would be good for those who damned him so hard (who weirdly tally with those who thought Koeman was a legend, despite him having equally as bad a run with a far better squad) to say “hey, perhaps I was wrong”.
Well, maybe they will, maybe they wont mate. But often on here, the fans get a right slagging for being negative as it affects what happens on the pitch. Maybe it doesn’t, but what does matter is that Ralph appears to have got over what ever the heck he was doing earlier in the season, the fans and the board have backed him and this is the result...
And to think we thought Chelsea (A), Tottenham (H) and Leicester (A) was a tough run please log in to view this image
Not that I’ve seen mate. I personally don’t give a monkeys if they do or not, but there’s a real tendency to just go quiet on things. I was wrong about Hoedt and Clasie. I thought both would be class. But that’s because I don’t know all that much about football really, when it comes down to it. I just hate to see a classy person castigated, have crappy rumours flung at etc, who when he turns it round people go quiet.
Absolutely. I’ve been as critical as anyone about the board, but I’m delighted they stuck by their guns.
Name names then I didn't think it was that many that actually wanted him sacked, and I've definitely seen at least a couple say they were wrong, Ian and Susan off the top of my head.
They got some credit back there. Fair play. Just goes to show the easiest thing to do is not always the best thing to do.
It’s less wanting him sacked, and more saying he was clueless, an idiot, lost the team, had blazing rows, was arrogant etc.
What an amazing turnaround. Down to 3 things for me 4.4.2. Players playing in correct positions Armstrong And our course the reaction from the players and manager on the mental side
