Today's r/coys non-sequitur: Steptonho is right to freeze out Foyth because he's error prone...but if you dare mention that Aurier is a ****ing disaster area you will be shouted down for daring to question our Lord of Footballing Things because Poch had us in relegation battles every season Yes, that is the level of insanity affecting the Reddit crowd these days
Apparently we've been offered Gedson Fernandes I don't want to suggest that he's told his agent that he has no intention of joining West Scam, but the evidence is compelling...
Looks like United could well be getting Bruno Fernandes. Imagine if he’s a success there, when we had the chance to sign him. - especially as Lo Celso has hardly set the world alight.
One thing about Fernandes that likely sealed the deal for Lo Celso is that, when he gets in the final third of the pitch, he turns into Andros Townsend and doesn't bother with this "passing" lark that some players seem to think is a good thing And that's the main thing: Lo Celso is a like-for-like replacement for Eriksen which is what we needed, Fernandes is closer in style to Dele and replacing him isn't a priority as Dele's not playing silly buggers over a contract
currently he’s on 13 goals and 13 assists for Sporting. Them stats suggests he certainly knows how to play a pass. As for the passing lark...our attackers could try it a lot more at appropriate times...nothing frustrates me more about them more than their decision making. Son for all his good points would rather look for a penalty than to pass at times. They are all greedy ****s.
Actually it doesn't Case in point, Andros Townsend's best season for us saw him bad six goals and six assists, and we all know that once he got into the final third his instinct was to try and smash it towards the top corner and that's what he did...and usually hit the top corner of the stand behind the goal Similar can be said for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who in his final season for Dortmund got 11 goals and 20 assists in the Bundesliga, so that obviously means he knows how to play a pass...but tell that to fans of Man Utd, Arsenal and Roma, since he hasn't managed to get twenty assists in the three and a half seasons combined since he moved to Old Trafford
Lol Celso is trying to impress in the limited game time he has had, it's not fair to judge him atm. All 'new' players need time to adjust.
It's gone very quiet on the Piatek discussions, as usual the Sun jumps in and gives everyone false hope - no surprise there!
Exodus Watch First of all, Roy Hodgson has confirmed that he's interested in taking KWP on loan for the remainder of the season. We're stuck with Aurier at this point, aren't we? please log in to view this image Secondly, yet another Italian source has jumped in on Eriksen to Inter this month, although they're light on details compared to some of the others
Does he? I don't see why he would. The player's value must be at an all-time low. Hodgson's a good defensive coach and he might be able to get the best out of him. Loans worked well for Rose and Walker in the past. We need to pick them better and I think this could work.
Piatek didn’t come off the bench for Milan today. First league game this season he’s not played a minute in. Avoiding risk of injury ahead of a possible move perhaps?
