I actually enjoy this site and I am posting not just on the Sunderland threads. I get the impression that there is a fair few ex military people on here, hence the dark humour. A lot of people not ex mil will probs not get this and will be mighty offended and outraged. I may be wrong, but would be surprised if I am.
Yeah there's a fair few ex-military on this board and as you know the other board that you frequently visit. I see the dark humour on the other board but not here?
Which one? I only post on two others, RTG and Arrse. The latter is nearly all ex mil. Don't really see it on RTG, always have to think before I post on RTG for fear of generating the outrage bus. LOL.
I meant part of the other site, mate. I think it's the premier league part I've seen you starting to post now. I didn't understand the issue with the RTG posters and then I was just here typing chatting away and all of a sudden they started getting offended over nothing, it actually took me a good few minutes of just sitting going through the posts to understand what they were actually crying about. It's because I said to somebody that I didn't realise they had autism. By the reaction, you'd have thought I'd just told them I was planning on moving in on their daughters. If this is how they're then this board isn't for them.
TBF, I hadn't really saw that. Deffo agree though. There's some sites like Facebook etc, where it's almost a sport as to which individual can be most offended by the most trivial of pixels. Just a sign of the times, as we now have a generation of people who have been reared on outrageous political correctness.
Shame about that, Carty's a good lad. Missed whatever happened it's just sad when someone takes something so seriously.
You seem like a bit of an internet bully! Autism is not just a word, its a very serious condition that not only affects the individual, but their families, you take it very light hearted, shame on you! You mention `had` autism, you can't cure it, google is your friend here marrew, try it!
I've not seen the other thread or really noticed you being offensive but blaming someone else for being easily offended seems a bit ridiculous when the obvious solution is for you not to offend them in the first place. Again I don't know the context of the comment, but perhaps try engaging in conversation about the topic in the thread rather than suggest someone has autism (or any other condition). It seems that people always turn disagreements on a topic into an argument. You can disagree and leave it at that. You don't have to belittle/insult the person disagreeing with you to "prove" you're right.
Yep. RTG are definitely snowflakes. Internet bully? I never really had a problem posting stuff on here until you little fannies come over. I said to somebody I didn't realise they had autism. Get over yourself and go cry somewhere else you precious little tit.
You have a lot to say without knowing what happened I was talking about the topic on the thread. Go and find it before passing judgement.
I’m an RTG old timer and cannot stand the precious society we now live in. It doesn’t make me a bad person the fact that I’m an utter cock does
Are you suggesting that everyone bends over backwards to be ridiculously politically correct in the hope that some snowflake doesn't take offence where none was intended? It appears that way to me!
I don’t know what happened but I will say Carty keeps message boards moving. He will always start threads and create interest .......... and sometimes talk ****e
I'm Welsh and thick skinned. I need to be to put up with all you Geordie fookas Shame Carty has gone, i like him. But its his choice. We are all different and all have our faults. It's a shame that modern society in their vain quest for being perfect realise that and just get on. Thats not a dig at Carty, thats at all who are quick to take offense at anything and everything on others behalf Hell, i even quite like @FulwellBri
Aye, shame Carty's gone. His decision though. There does seem to have been raised tempers / agitation the last few days. January blues mixed with frustration about the club?
Fair point actually. The context was a little different. Suggesting someone has autism isn't really the best though, plus your reaction to him not being happy about it was a bit ludicrous. Seems mad that you decide the people that are offended are the problem rather than your own comment.
I'm simply suggesting that people don't offend others or attempt to belittle them. It's not about bending over backwards, it's about commenting on a topic rather than having a dig at the person making a comment.
