Lets get some banter going then! 2 games in 5 days Head-to-head ⢠Cardiff and Leicester have each won 22 of the 55 previous matches between these clubs. ⢠They have met only once in the League Cup, in 2005, when Leicester won a third-round tie 1-0. Cardiff ⢠Cardiff have reached the fourth round only once in the last six seasons. ⢠They have scored eight goals in the Carling Cup so far this term. Leicester ⢠Leicester have also scored eight goals in this year's competition. ⢠The Foxes have managed to find the net in 22 consecutive League Cup matches - a run that stretches back to 2003.
cardiff- genuine Q here- how strong do you feel your club is this year in comparison to last year given the loss of Dave Jones, Bellamy, Burke and Bothroyd but some good new additions?
last year the team was full of big names that didnt really deliver, and who were on big wages which the club probably couldnt afford. as touched on in another thread, it became clear after a while that quite a few of the fans were getting a bit fed up of dave jones, who had no excuse but to get a team with the sort of players he got, promoted. this year, we are a different team, clean slate, mackay looks young, bright, passionate (which jones didnt show in public) and tactically sharp, which jones probably wasnt. he's brought in a few players, mainly on frees, and miller / turner from bursaspor and coventry. the consensus here seems to be that top 6 would be viewed as a successful season, but we all know how there are teams spending big money that will finish beneath teams spending less, so you cant be complacent for one minute
With that line up, Cardiff should give us a good hiding. They just need to hit the target from anywhere outside the box and Weale will help them on their way... Go Schlupp...
thanks for an honest oppinion. Ill be honest, ive been watching cardiff carefully as i feel they are one of those unknown teams who could either struggle or really push on at the top. You didnt spend much but didnt really need to. In Whittingham you have the best left foot in the division (as we sadly found out). Good luck for the season.
Good luck C**diff anybody who beats them is alright by me. Tried to buy their big time. Hope the Bl**birds have one over them. Cant believe i am saying this but hope the real side beats the bought manufactured side. Good luck C*rdiff.
Yes and at what cost. Hope you end up in mid table mediocrity as you have for the last few years. Money and Sven equals mid table.
