I wonder how many black people think rock music is crap, because I never really hear people shouting it to the world yet every white person who doesn’t like rap has to make a point of telling their friends.
Probably 95% of his stuff is him and Madlib. They even did tinydesk together a while back. They're basically a duo mate.
Madlib the bad kid has done tons of collabs mate. He's basically the brains behind Stones Throw records with PB wolf. That tiny desk with Freddie Gibbs and Madlib is a classic though

Recent rap music is ****e. Go back to NWA etc and it was great. Since grime became a thing it’s often just people mumbling ****e. Maybe grime isn’t considered rap. I don’t know.
I like some of the original aggressive grime but until Little Simz that I just posted I had lost interest. I think the new album by her is superb but it takes more from US rap than it does grime and the production is brilliant.
I liked the song about going out in a black Benz and coming back in a white one. She thought it was about putting out the bins and we all still take the piss out of her for it.
