This country has plenty of room if governed correctly. It has not been. We're on our third PM in his many years? No one knowing the tuck is going on. No one doing anything but lying and shifting goalposts.

Currency is literally the least of Scotland's worries. It's a made up concept that details what someone owes. You could write IOU on a napkin and it's the same thing.

Scottish Banks were bailed out in the crisis and are healthy enough again. There would be no issue organising a new currency. Call it the Alexander G Bell for all that a name matters. And that's only in the tiny little chance that Scotland couldn't continue with Sterling...which they could.
