It's not in mine. I'll be totally honest. I'm a hycorite. A huge one. I've spend years working out the country and looking to pay as little tax as possible. I moan about people not being able to get on the property ladder while owning in London and renting out a flat in Aberdeen. I blow money that could help the ones I claim I want to and not really think twice about it.

But...I also see that it's not my responsibility to help these people. That falls at the hand of our Government And they're not doing it. But in order to ease my guilt and feel a bit better about myself, I regularly do an extra shop and deliver it to a couple of local foodbanks. You then stick around a couple of hours and sort all donations into groups so that every package has a certain amount of toiletries, cleaning goods, good of every group etc. And then ones with nappies etc for those that require that. The people coming in for these packages are not lazy neds rocking inanity the latest Nike trainers and Stone Island jumpers. They are normal people, wearing clothes they got for £3 in Primark/Asda Who have popped in after finishing one job and off to their shift elsewhere. They are embarrassed and humble and nice and are not chain smoking alkies that the cliche says they are. They won't have Sky etc. At most maybe a Netflix account at a tenner a month and why the **** not. It's their only true entertainment in this ****ty country. Why the **** should they be looked down on for that.

 

Why would I do that when I could stay up and rip the ****e out of you ya tit?

See I don’t doubt that Scotland can and could operate on its own but I don’t think it’ll be better than what we have.

We are the circumstance of geography, we share an island.

This country that has the 5th largest economy on the planet but have working people who have to visit food banks to make ends meet. A country that considers its pensioners a drain on the system although many of those pensioners have paid into the system for 50 years
