Nothing better than live music, my son is out most weeks and plays every Sunday for our church. We all went to see Nathaniel Ratcliff recently, uplifting.
My nephew plays lead guitar in his band called Stand amongst giants he 's a brilliant guitarist but i am not fussy on their music.
Keep them coming mate. You'll be in my area sometime. Like a lot of the stuff you mentioned in your post, and I generally prefer watching local bands in pubs, than going to the Arena to watch the original artists.
I was going to go to an open mike session at the Harbour View tonight, as it is featuring Eddie from a band called the Revulutionaires doing an acoustic spot. However, I'm coughing and sneezing right now so will try and pull myself together so I can watch a band called 1977 at the Victoria Gardens tomorrow night..
He’s bloody good is Ed! Guitar, vocals, harmonica, keyboards etc! Looking forward to that gig in the Ivy house. I’ll get the first beers in, you can get the rest And don’t tell anyone I’m black and white!
It's a cracking old fashioned bar mate and I have never saw a hint of trouble there. Looking forward to it as well mate..
I think I’ve only been in one pub in Sunderland, and that was over 40 years ago! Was it called the Painted Wagon? Near the bus station. Aye, I checked with Gary and he’s taking the car, so I might sample one or two
Come through for a few pints with us mate.. It's a Sunday teatime gig in march.. If you fancy it give me a bell.
They do a cracking selection of real ales if you like them. last time I was there they had one which was 9% strength.. I gave that one a miss..
I usually stick to cheap lager like Carling or Fosters, I can’t drink too much of Moretti, Stella or stuff like that. I do like real ales though. I’m sure @Conspiracy Theorist said he liked The Revs as well?
You don’t mention that I’m black and white either then. Don’t want to get filled in off a bunch of angry red and whites.
