I did this a while ago and it is immensely satisfying! For one, the steering is a lot easier! <laugh>

<laugh> I couldn’t believe the difference in moving heavy loads of leaves, twigs, general brown bin stuff, when I mended it! I felt such a plonker for having struggled with this squeaking, ‘shopping trolley navigation’-style wheelbarrow for so long!

I have been managing with my small barrow that has a solid wheel. My large one now is fully operational, so it was fully loaded with logs this afternoon, but although it was much easier to push along the muddy green lane, it was hard going coming up the hill to the house. I must not load it up so fully next time I make the trip.

<laugh> That huge trade-off between how much you can put on, and the possibility/probability of it all falling off and taking more time than you would have saved because you had to reload it! Back-strain is another consideration.

An inner tube in French is known as a chambre à air. I found a company that only deals in such things and goes under that name. All our tubes are manufactured in the EU their website stated. Printed on the tube was "Made in Vietnam". Has the EU expanded while I have not been paying attention? :emoticon-0105-wink:

    Morning, Dave; morning, all. :)

They joined the same time as Tonga.

Mrs Andy’s Dad was sent on his way on Tuesday. It was a wonderful service, just right. There was a wake afterwards for him, that was so him, my wife and I were continually convinced he was about to unexpectedly throw an arm around us, beam, and offer to buy us a drink. Lovely fella. We used to talk a couple of times a week, him bemoaning Arsenal but positive about Watford, me bemoaning Watford and positive about Arsenal (although in recent years I realised he was right!). RIP Pat.

Morning all. Grey but mild and dry in this part of France today. Seems that I will have to make a trip to the bottle bank. I think that the empties are breeding in the bin here. I will expect that most of it is pots that the coffee creme comes in. :emoticon-0105-wink: Have a grand day! <ok>

What have you been up to Dave? I thought you would be feeling less tired now your treatment had finished.

Good morning all from a mild and dry Weston-super-Mare!

    Have a good day <ok>

Apparently it takes several weeks for the tiredness to improve and the treated area, in my case the bladder, never fully recover. The radiation shrinks the bladder and alters the surface of the inner lining, meaning I will have to have a permanent catheter or suffer serious incontinence <yikes>

Good morning, Dave; morning, all. :)
Not a post I could like exactly. ;) As long as you recover, Dave, it’s a small price to pay.

Best time to play Man Utd, Dave. The Canaries need to leave Old Trafford singing, and they have the wherewithal to do it. Bournemouth after that. A good six points could make things very interesting. Good luck. <ok>

Thanks Andy, I'm hoping for a belated New Year's present even though it looks like Pukki will be missing! :(

Morning all. Glad to have you with us every day Dave. Your greeting is the first thing I look for. Your daily weather report gives me a clue as to will my daughter in the south west be walking the dog in the dry. Hope that you feel a bit better daily.
The météo last night said it would dry here today, but it is overcast with some mizzle. If you look at a local map you will see that the field just below our house has a seasonal stream running through it. It is created each year by the village pond overflowing. Last year the pond was dredged and enlarged, but it is now full and the stream is running. During the summer drought it was almost empty, and the family of ducks had an ever decreasing amount of water to paddle around in. At least the need for water rationing this summer is decreasing by the day.
Enjoy your day whatever the weather. <ok>
