https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51053961 That ol' chestnut. Of course, Celtic and Rangers being in the English league would save them, it's ****ing nonsense to suggest otherwise in my opinion. The Scottish league is ****ing dead. But like, where would it stop? It's just the British league then, so what's the point in the 3 FA's? If English, Welsh and Scottish teams play in a singular league, why don't they have a singular national team? In my opinion, the Scottish teams being ****e, doesn't really mean that England should lose it's league and have to accept teams based on charity. And those teams certainly shouldn't be jumped up into the premier league, they would 100% have to start at League 2. As a Welshman, I am happy Cardiff, Swansea and even Wrexham play in the English ladder, it's the only way we can possibly have some competitive teams, but politically Wales is far, far closer to England. Would jocks accept playing in an ENGLISH league?
Yep. If Rangers and Celtic are to ever be a force in Europe again then they need to make the jump to our leagues. Once they hit the premier league their fanbases and revenue would make them serious forces to be reckoned with after a few years. Obviously Rangers would end up the Daddies of the two clubs.
Whoa, no Scot's in our league, Aldo and his clan can fook off with their independence and stay the other side of the wall
I think the leagues are extremely charitable letting Cardiff and Swansea in. Wrexham are fine, they've got an area with a English postcode
I don't think Celtic would embrace the transition as well as Rangers, who I actually think would pull in a LOT of neutral English glory hunters.
Apart from the city of Liverpool who would probably support them IRA loving scumbags, I'd imagine the majority of this country would like to see Rangers do well.
Well, I'm glad someone said it. I can't stand Celtic and would like to see those scum absolutely nowhere near our league system. Chris Sutton's undying support for that team makes me sick.
Nobody likes Celtic, mate Trashy little bastards were walking across the Sunderland bridge chanting about Lee Rigby having his head whacked off and songs in support of the IRA. Their punishment was a bat around the head and a union jack pillow to rest on. They'll be trouble at every city they play in (probs not Liverpool)
Liverpool supporters are a bunch of posers man, its a minority who say that ****e but that minority are a bunch of gobshites. "We're scousers not english" as soon as England are on the box georges cross is plastering the ****ing city and it's on their faces just like everywhere else. They're literally a bunch of idiots.
I agree its a minority, Celtic just seem to have a way bigger minority than everybody else. Scousers think they're a special breed, absolutely. You should here the ****e that comes out of their mouths about how you don't go into their town and say certain things and how you don't mess with scouse women, etc ect.
Even sluttier than the Geordies but the scouse accent goes right through me. Scouse women all sound like little slags just by that whiny accent. They'd have to shut up if I was bucking them.
You don't reverse hundreds and hundreds of years of integration in 20 years by giving people a couple of flags and saying they're special. It's a completely different kettle of fish than England and Scotland's relationship. The integration into English society is intense, you wouldn't get away with calling it "The Kingdom of England" anymore, but you wouldn't really be causing an uproar by simply presuming that as soon as the union ends Wales remains a part of England indefinitely. If that makes sense. I know this seems very political, but it's a big reason why Welsh teams have so easily slipped into the English league system with absolutely minimal comment. Wales and England just aren't that different, if at all, when it comes to 85% of important day to day things. Scotland considers itself highly unique and special, even though they're not, and therefore would likely want the league renamed.
I like the Scottish people! Down to earth and friendly as hell . Going up there a few times this year
it's almost like they're absolutely no different than the rest of British people... it's almost like... we're the same country!
They aren't that different from my experience. I've yet to go up to Scotland and find much difference ! In fact I find nearly all of Europe pretty much the same .
